The biggest doubt comes from the fact that Milan are willing to let him go so easily to a direct rival.
Well if you believe the latest stories we are willing to trade chiesa for Saelemakers.

Alert: haters don't read this because apparently it appears to be a tad positive as well. Shared first, give it a go myself now.
As much as I respect Beppe, sometimes he is too
I am grateful to Milan for their generosity in this deal.

You would think that they clearly don't value this player this much to let him go on conditions so favourable to us - loan with an option to buy - but I think this just speaks to the great relationship we have where our gendleman rivals want to help us out in a tough situation.
Remember when they even loaned us Abbiati when they injured Buffon in a pre season game? True generosity

Obviously this transfer has a chance to come good IF he can stay fit and regain the form he had when he won the Scudetto but it's a massive IF

we shouldn't be taking risks like this anymore because we dont have the time or money

remember Ramsey, Di Maria, Pogba?
Well, it's a loan with option and on a decent salary. Different thing to those 3 you mentioned therefor, I guess. But we def can not afford moves like that in attack(ing midfield). We need at least 2 players with starting quality.

It's Beppe reacting to an analysis. Not his analysis. Basically says why Kalulu is a fit for Motta and even a compareable player to Todibo. "Only" doubts are his injury woes.

Been on they're forum. They think it's a bad deal.
They say it would be worth it for Chiesa 2020 version , but not the 2024 version.
lol. Salemaekers is awful. He has overperformed last season. Stay away.

Sorry bro but there is nothing to endorse on this deal. This guy is a huge question mark ,probably a panic buy. We are banking on him replicating his 2 seasons ago form.
Luckily it's an option to buy so there are more chances than not that he will end up in Milano , come season end.

What's funny is that Milan fans are pissed that there isn't an obligation to buy because they think this is the last window they can probably sell him , while most Juve fans are not happy that he doesn't look good enaugh.
Loaning out with an option is always a bad deal for me unless it's someone with a high salary like Arthur maybe... Else you've lost a player for peanuts and he might return being damaged goods. If he performs, you lose him...

Thing is there’s already a consensus around here that he could be a decent versatile backup to have, he is someone that could sure help out if fit, but everything becomes null the moment when you realize that he is more likely to be unavailable and out of form more often than not after the injury riddled season he’s been struggling with.

Wouldn't say more likely unavailable at all. Why? Because a young player has one heavy injury in a season and a smaller one coming back? Or the 2 total injuries he had beforehand? I didn't exactly judge this transfer either way but I am not convinced he's such a huge injury risk if I look at those stats as a physio.

He was always gonna be a backup/fringe and right now they'll take that money.

Tomori, Thiaw and Pavlovic are way ahead both in terms of ability and dependency.

This is just last season alone and he is coming straight after it to us, or should we just expect him to already be back to his best form and be available at all times.

P.S.: I will forfeit this debate because i just remembered how many back and forths like this we two had on Zaniolo a few summers back, where his two ACL’s and repetitive injuries were no reason for concern back then either.

That part is easy to understand why. Since his injury or just before his injury, they signed two CBs, Malik Thiaw and now Pavlovic. Also RB Emerson Royal this summer. And changed coach from Pioli who liked using him to Fonseca this summer.

So that's alot of factors that make him surplus for them, long injury lay off, 3 players signed to compete for his spot and new coach that probably has different ideas. So for them it's immediate need he needs to move on to get playing time and find suitors.

No one is gonna outright buy someone that was out entire year. I presume the player was eager for the Juve opportunity.
