Quality bench player for us who has come up strong when we needed him. And he has a lot of tenure with the squad, which is a good thing.

I don't know why he's called Il Professore exactly. Could have something to do with the way he looks off the pitch with his glasses and college-professor-like attire.

this is the reason: " As eloquent as his nickname, 'il professore', might suggest, he is a regular guest on Italian television's football talk shows."

and because he analyzes the matches like proffesors :)

Pessotto will evidently remain at the club after he retires.That's good and that makes me happy, to have so loyal players such is Pessotto.
Never to much exposed,not a star, but always there when you need him.
Anyway I'm happy for that news.:touched:
