Inter in for Nedved? Thursday 9 July, 2009

One of the biggest transfer shocks of the summer may be about to happen as reports claim Inter could sign Pavel Nedved.
The Juventus icon left the Turin giants at the end of last season with the intention of hanging up his boots.
However, his name has continued to be linked with clubs up and down the peninsula ever since he became a free agent.
Associated with former club Lazio and also newly promoted Parma, there are whispers in Italy suggesting that Inter could sign him on.
Although unconfirmed at this stage, rumours suggest that the 37-year-old may be offered a two-year contract and a final shot at winning the Champions League.
Getting his hands on that trophy was his ambition as a player, but he never quite managed it with Juve despite going close on a number of occasions.
Mino Raiola, Nedved’s agent, is set to meet up with Nerazzurri officials today regarding two more of his clients – new signing Kerlon and Maxwell, who wants a new deal.
But while there he will allegedly discuss the possibility of offering Nedved’s services to the Italian champions.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether Nedved would be willing to join Inter, a club who have become hated rivals of Juventus in recent times.

Actually, this belongs in the jokes thread but still, incredible were those newspapers keep getting their inspiration.
