Pavel Nedved has signed a new deal with Juventus, bringing to an end a fortnight of tension and speculation.

The Czech veteran had threatened to quit the club after his demands for a pay rise were initially denied by managing director Jean-Claude Blanc, but it seems that the ex-Lazio man’s words had the desired effect.

The deal was agreed last night as Nedved had dinner with sporting director Alessio Secco without his agent Mino Raiola and will see the 34-year-old serve out the remaining year of his contract on a higher wage.

Nedved accepted a pay cut of nearly 50 per cent to stay in Turin after Juve’s demotion to Serie B and is now believed to have negotiated a salary that is close to his original figure for his seventh season as a Bianconero.

The deal will be completed on Wednesday when the new squad is presented at Vinovo before moving to the pre-season camp at Pinzolo in the Dolomites.

That´s interesting. Juventus management always have to be threaten in order to make important moves.

Anyways, Forza Pavel Nedved, the ultimately best Juventus player. Although he is 35 years old, he can still play as good as he is 25, he just never gets old. He will have an important role next season as usual. I can see Juventus ending 2nd or 3rd which would please me.

lets screw inter next year 6-0
Don´t be so modest.

Give a player more money and hell he will sign..clearly it was never about his body it was just about getting the money he once got when he was in serie A. Cash in why not..

another great news, forza nedved.
great job by secco, so far he's only been missing out on milito, but andrade is also great, so one more class defender and we're ready. unless secco feels he's on the run and wants to sign another great midfielder...

Secco did an excellent job with Andrade cuz we got him for cheap even he is older than Milito but than just look how much Real paid for Pepe... Now I just hope that Secco will not sell another good player to Fiorentina.

Forza Neved

:touched:

I would like to see our management giving Nedved a testimonial match at the end of season (if he is to retire, cuz I get a feeling great man might want to continue one more season if we make CL :D) with a match against the legends. Nedved deserves nothing less.

Apparently Mancini called(illegal) Pavel to lure him to the merdazzurri. Hours later Pavel resigns with Juve.

Forza Pavel! In culo a Mancini. :pint:
