Cristiano didn’t defend at all, neither had he the same attacking output as Chiesa.

But in terms of positioning, yeah you might be right and we could miss a 9 at times.

I want to see it in real life. Allegri said again that Chiesa is a CF for him today. And as we know he made Dybala the captain so one way or another, they will both be our main attacking forces.

Fasten your seatbelts vriend.
Of course they will but not as a sole duo if you ask me because they both roam in the same space. If you mix that up with a #9, perfectly fine by me.

Speaking only of pure technique, if you give him time to set up and hit a pass with his left leg, it's good.

Speaking in terms of having vision, first touch, two feet, etc. I find that he misses a lot of passing chances.
Agree...and first and foremost dybala pre juve was a CF right? He always had the ability to do the extras as a CF as you suggest above. He has become a makeshift to help in the creative area...if we had pirlo pogba vidal in midfield I highly doubt we would see dybala dropping that deep to receive the ball nor need him to be the creative type.

Several seasons on and the midfield is still remains the issue.

I think the most assists he ever had in a season was with Palermo as a 9.

For a while it seems he wants 10+2m and our offer is 8+2m. Things haven't moved from that. Still, an extension is closer to a formality than ending with no agreement.

Saying he shouldn't be extended or we'll be fine or better off without him or he shouldn't feature in XI... mindboggling.

well whoscored gives him 8, footballref gives him 10 and i think tmarket gives him 14.
I prefer the highest number
Dybala had 17 goals 14 assists in 2019/20
He had 14 in 2019/2020.

TMarket counts penalties won and also shots that create rebounds for goals as assists. And while I think they should be credited for assists or goals created somehow, if we are talking about passing and assists/creating chances in that way, those have nothing to do with it and the whoscored numbers that go by Lega Serie A and CL standards are a much more accurate representation, which would mean 9 assists in all comps instead of 14 (he had 6 in league, 2 in CL, and one in Coppa which whoscored doesn’t track).

Dybala’s agent has left Turin and is now in Argentina. ⚪️⚫️

Lawyers are working on the last details: #Dybala will extend his contract until 2025 with #Juventus. Final agreement found at around 8M€ net plus bonus.

good point, which is why stats don't always tell the whole story. we need to look at overall impact on game he brings...and same is true of other players.
