Giving him the captain's armband in your opening game seems pretty significant to me.

Didn't even notice that until a few mins ago.
I still don’t think him and Ronaldo work together on the pitch, at least in a successful, functional team… but perhaps with Chiesa, Cuadrado, and a more forward thinking, midfield maestro like Locatelli pulling the strings, it can work a bit better than the past few years (even under Sarri, individually they both did well, but our attacking play was mostly trash).

I think Max will figure it out. I get the feeling Ronaldo will be used more sparingly (saved for big games in CL), and because he is leaving at the end of the season anyway, he won't (I hope) make a big fuss about the situation. He is, after all, a professional, and Max is the coach.

Dybala will need to be rested (hopefully will stay fit, concentrated, motivated and avoid injury), but I trust Max to ensure the team performs as a unit and possesses a functional midfield.

That fucking pass. Insane :tuttosport:

Boy is on fire. If he keeps this up, this season gonna be good.

Wonder why @Juve92 isn’t posting :lol3:
He might actually be banned, or it might just be salmon fishing season in Norvege.

Great game but did tire near the end. Probably was so pumped up and expended more energy than normal first game back. Seemed like he got back well in own half defending too. He had those Pjanic and Bono like passes today.

Excellent game but i dont think he can last full 90.
Sometimes you can train and tick all the boxes in terms of fitness, but friendlies, interclub matches etc..do not equate to playing serie A games or the like.

He needs at least another month before getting where he needs to be.

It is a good start though..cant wait to get ronaldo chiesa locatelli rabiot...all starting with him.

I'm a known critic of Dybala.

He had a goal and an assist , lacks matchfitness at this stage and out in the 2nd half.

He did well, get over it.
Yes he played well. But when the team started to play like shit he didn’t offer much. If those wage demands are true he needs to do more.
