Our whole 17-18 season is incredibly underrated here. All because of revision over Tottenham matches where Allegri basically created the blueprint that Klopp used to win CL final against Spurs. Give them possession, defend solidly, hit on the counter. We scored 86 goals in the league that year, 95 points, won a domestic double, smashed CL winners Madrid at home in qfs only going out on last second penalty.
Yeah, Cr7 improved our image and finances, hardly our game/results

Well, last game he scored as Lokomotive right?

maybe he will do something Wednesday. Pretty weak run of matches for him recently and nothing

Asinine is the word I'm looking for. He's been doing well recently, so what's the point of criticizing him now? New coach, new system, and there have been improvements.

We're still playing duds like De Sciglio and Berna in the starting lineup. It becomes infinitely harder to shine when it feels you're playing with 10, sometimes even 9 men. Even Ronaldo hasn't been performing that well recently.

Agree he has been playing MUCH better than last season. Came up big vs LM in CL. His job is the score/assist though and he had pretty weak opposition recently with nothing so hopefully he gets back on track this week. Needs to pull his wait

I have no idea how he can pull his wait, but he can pull his weight tho :p

I am happy as long as he is getting involved. I am not sure he needs to score 20-25 goals - if he can score 15 and provide 15 assists throughout the season (provided he's actively involved), I think it's a good return. Remember that Ronaldo takes almost all the penalties and free-kicks (blasting them into the wall).

I think he is on track for at least 15....I hope.

he should be bagging assists though but Ronaldo is a bit off form

Ronaldo should not be taking free-kicks. It's fucking painful to watch. It's one thing to blast them into the wall against Lecce or Genoa, but what if we need a goal from a set piece in the CL? He needs to let his inflated ego take a backseat sometimes. His free-kick record is atrocious.

Swap Berna with anyone else and watch his performance improve further. When you have garbage like that in important positions you make life much harder for Dybala.

It is a common advice for recovery. But many players shun it or take a long time to get in, hence not optimizing it.

Players like Khedira often not do it as such recovery arrangement takes some courage to jump in to. Hence he is often injured.

Even young players can’t take such coldness. An example would be Bentancur. His mediocrity post match recovery has caused him to stagnant at a 2001 Nicky Butt standard.
Soft cocks! I was a teenager playing Australian rules football and used to jump in ice baths after every game. Some of these blokes need to drink a glass of concrete and harden the Fuck up!
