he's out of form. but a confidence boost can help him. he should start next match to build it up

this whole true position shit is just like giovinco from years ago. do you dum dums remember giovinco? who am i kidding you don't even remember what you ate yesterday for lunch
Didn't Ronaldo give him a confidence boost last month? By celebrating like him and he did the same when he scored right the game after? What happened after that confidence boost?

I dont see his game getting any better here. with mandzuckic signing an extension for God knows what reason and ronaldo being here for two more years now signing kean soon to an extension where does he fit? Even bernadeschi is starting over him. I think we sell in June

I am still firmly against the sale of a player like him. For the millionth time he should be the CF instead of Mandzukic but what can you do if Allegri doesn't want to use him like that?

He is currently not a right winger and has rightfully been replaced by Bernardeschi in that role. Play him as forward or maybe it is time to sell.

Still, we should be playing him as CF and not even considering selling a player of his abilities.

Luckely Allegri is our coach and we got past athletico in the return

If we get a good price it's definitely time to offload. Never realised the potential he had a few years ago.
It's not about fulfilling his potential. It's hard to score a goal or produce an assist when your job is to receive the ball in midfield and distribute it forward or to the flanks. Only Messi is capable of doing such stuff.

Just look at Dybala's stats back when he played closer to the goal. His effectiveness dropped cause Allegri changed his role since Ronaldo's arrival.

yep. That plays a big part. Thats why we need to sell. Not because dybala is hopeless, he isnt, but because allegri will never adapt the team to fit dybala instead of cr7, rightly so... and dybala is a pure SS, he cant play anywhere else to his full potential.

So we are in a dead end.

He needs some good easy serie games to be in form, just like those were Mandzo stats got high this season

Just teasing Mandzo fans but seriously, Paulo needs a couple of serie a games playing like a forward

He's not allowed a bad game like some other players here are. The moment he play a below-average game, he's benched the next. That's a reality.
:agree: Mandzukic has been shit for months, but still starts most games. Pjanic is inconsistency personified, but still starts most games due to lack of options in midfield/no competition in his position. Bonucci commits tons of brainfarts, has a few solid games, but is still a regular. Khedira starts when he's fit and in form, even though he's nothing special. It's pointless to deny that Allegri definitely has his favorites, and sometimes it's really a personal preference and not based on ability.

No it isn't. Allegri has been trying to force him into some position in the lineup for months but Bernardeschi is simply better as a RW

I can understand why Pjanic always starts, because there is no one else like him in our squad. But what I can't wrap my head around is why Mandzukic is unbenchable.

I find Allegri puts a lot of merit in the way a player trains. Not saying Dybala doesn't train hard but i'm wondering if that could be part of it.
Allegri has a hierarchy and it takes time for him to update it. It looks to me as if it's a cross between form in training and more importantly his preferences

Conte for example was more training based and individual game day performances

Different ways to view football

By dybalas tantrums, maybe he is as moody in trainings or what not. It could be that allegri doesnt tolerate that, and then theres he issue about where to play dybala. Maybe a combination of boths makes allegri not hesitate to bench him.

And well, mandz is undeniable a favourite of him. Allegri personally asked for the transfer and he has been unbenchable. The fact that allegri turned him into a pseudo winger just to not bench him, demonstrates how much allegri struggles to leave him out of his formations.

I'd remind people that every world class season Dybala has had in his career has come under Allegri. There is no big drama behind Dybala's recent bench time, simply tactical reasons.

Ronaldo in our current setup plays a free role when attacking but mostly starts from the left-wing. He also plays a free role when we defend which means that either our striker or the left sided midfielder needs to cover that wing defensively. At the moment Allegri has Mandzo and Matuidi taking turns on helping defend that flank. You could of course just play Matuidi exclusively on the left when defending but that would leave us with only two players covering the middle and I don't think Allegri is in favor of that. At least not when Pjanic is one of the midfielders.

Even yesterday we saw that once Mandzo came off, Allegri wanted to but in a player that can help defensively on the flanks. At the moment Ronaldo is the only player who gets a free pass defensively in our lineup.

Hearing this training talk here, I was wondering yesterday why it took him so long to come in for Matuidi? I was a little nervous watching Juve playing with only 10 men. Anyway, don't see Max starting him in return leg but would be great if he came in and played well in a win. Too much talent going to waste.
