Bit ironic if you ask me
If he performs at the highest level that we know he can, we would win the CL
Allegri builds the platform to let him play in his best position with the least defensive duties, so that he can shine
Even pogba doesnt have the team built around him
I think is not that simple of “pleasing him tactically and thats it”.
Even when we DO let him express himself, there are a number of factors around us that could make him think about his options.
The first and foremost, is the arrival of a nasty offer. I think we are all aware that juve cant match an offer from a crazy billionaire so its up to the player to decide.
Another point is the brand of football we play. Even when we let dybala attack, we play a very defensive brand of football, which overall limits the amount of chances an offensive player can get. If dybala played for a guardiola team, he would have like double the chances he gets in juve. This by no means mean he will win more, but he will enjoy his footBall a lot more than in here for sure.
The third reason could be the loser karma we have in the CL and the outsider opinion.
Most people around the world never take us as serious contenders because on top of always losing, we do not play offensive winning football that most of the elite teams do. Unluckily for us, those teams have won the competition numerous times in the last years, so the statistics dont lie.
A player like dybala could go to those teams hoping that he will have a better chance to win the whole thing there. Is like the easy way of getting the cup. Because to be honest those teams have something magical that unexplicably makes them being instant favourites every year. We are not even close to that kind of aura.
For us having that, we will have to forcefully make fans around the world watch us by winning the damn thing a couple times, and doing it big time would surely help.
Motivation. We are kings of italy. We are rarely matched or put to the sword. We are just too good and too well managed for the rest of serie A scrubs. If you are not italian, winning serie A becomes something ordinary after some years, specially if you are a famous player.
Last but not least, Serie A. Serie a is a poor league with way less coverage than the 3 big ones. Nowadays, players see themselves as brands, not as bandieras. As a brand, they like to get exposure in the very same way juventus likes to get exposure by playing in the CL. It means more fans and more economical relations with sponsors etc. By playing in england or spain, you get that kind of exposure. In serie a not so much.
