or costa-mandzu-sandro like last night with dybala coming off the bench
Mandzu has been playing like dogshit recently, but I guess we might need an impact sub, and given how long Dybala has been out for, he could be it.

In hindsight, letting Pjaca go was a bad decision, but I guess not even Allegri expected our physios and medical team to be this incompetent.

I thought mandzu played quite well yesterday...nearly scored a great solo goal and linked up well with the others

I guess we don't have an option but to play him if both Higuain and Dybala aren't at 100%

I'm sure we can score with Costa and Sandro supporting Mandzu. Higgy and Dybala coming off the bench is added security, an extra cushion if you wish.

We definitely need to deploy a 3 man midfield; Matuidi will be crucial.

I would start Sandro in a trident with Higgy and Costa. However, Higuain might not even be fit for the Spurs match, so we might see a trident of Sandro, Dybala, and Costa.
Sadly, this one we wont see, and regardless of Allegri`s coments about Dybala`s position in last couple of months, last night was a clear indicator that the coach doesnt trust Dybala in a center of a trident. He could`ve subbed off Mario for Dybala and try Sandro - Paulo - DCosta, for a 15 minutes, at home, in a game we already won, but no... Back to the 3-5-2 in his many forms we go.

You dont know that it wont work unless you try it, its modern football, these are modern football players, very technical, inteligent and adaptable. There is simply no way for someone, even if it is Allegri, to think and rate a 4-3-3 system with a front 3 of for example Sandro - Dybala - Douglas C as a bigger risk and less probable to work successfully than say last years 4-2-3-1 with moving a tall striker at the left wing. Yeah, the coach knows best, I dont have anything against Max, he`s great and all that, I`m just a little disappointed from time to time with some of his decisions/actions or lack of decisions/actions. In the end, if he`s victorious, no one would judge him, lets hope that`s the case here.

Max said he has tested Dybala in the CF role during training...so its not like he hasnt looked into it at all

I think we'll see it at some point, but Allegri is giving it time :xfinger: :D
