I've little idea about Higuains popularity in Italy, as I don't speak Italian. But judging by what's being said about him among English speaking fans, he's not really appreciated, most of the time he's appreciated as a punching bag. And he's a perfect punching bag, his lack of confidence is fun and his lack of discipline is the easiest target ever.
