My Lord, people who earn 7.5mln euro per season for playing football are unhappy :sergio:. If there's any truth in what Gattuso is saying, Dybala should get a grip and realize we did not pay 40mln for him and paying him 7.5 to keep him entertained but for him to bring us trophies ffs.

I dont want to see his compilations, i want to see him playing like he is back.

Right now he seems to be missing somthing

He seems to struggle a lot with the ball at his feet. It could be a number of factors: Him dropping to deep, his first touch sometimes being criminal, lack of space thru the middle.

About that last point, i really think we are lacking a lot of penetration from the wings. This is hurting dybala so much. teams just pack the middle area in front of the keeper, and that forces us to pass to cuadrado or mandzukic (mainly cuadrado).
Since Cuadrado is not exactly a world beater and finisher... he is most of the times forced to pass back or throw a hopeful crosss to higuain/mandzukic. We find ourselves doing this maneuver once after another until we score.
becaue of this, we see few of dybala...he is most of the times forced to pass to wings or lsoe the ball against double marks.

If our wingers were more independent and incisive...he would have a lot more freedom to operate. Right now...we just dont have players like Sanchez or Berardi, who are inminent treats on the wings......Dybala is terrific coming from the left side but as AM, this moments will be far and between.

We end relying way too much on Cuadrado...and he is not the most inteliggent nor decisive player out there.

Dont get me wrong guys, i know i tickle the tities of some when i talk about mandzo or cuads, but the truth is that if we are going to deploy this formtion....we need not one, but 2 world class wingers to open the play and create scoring chances themselves without being dependent on a back pass or miracle cross.

I will not blame allegri because he did wonderfull to adecuate the team to this new 4231...but the reality is that it was a desperate maneuver to counter the horrors of the 352, and we didnt prepared in the summer to play like this obvs.

If by next year, dybala continues this kind of performances even when our 2 wingers are killing it...then he will have to be reacomodated..and we will need a Treq.

We have to options:
We buy a WC treq and move dybala into Cuadrado´s position
Or we buy a WC Rwinger to replace cuads and let dybala continue being treq.
my titties accept the fact that our ideal winger isn't Mandzu or Cuadrado agreed.

Next year Mandzu is fine as a versatile sub and Cuadrado should be our future RB until a youngster hits their stride imo but we need to find legit wide players to take the burden off of the strikers. If they want to pack the middle that's fine but with 2 legit wingers that would be akin to when teams give Robben too much freedom and he rapes them again and again.

Thats what im talking about. Players that make teams wonder where they should defend.

"SHould we go to the left and mark this guy who is dribbling us in circles? should we man mark this pig who already scored one on us?...should we try to stop this dybala guy to use his left?....but then that dude on the right side will go in again and last time he almost scored..."

that

Guys, dont get mad at me..:numnum:

But i think Rhino is onto something. I dont get the same vibe from dybala either. He looks like something is bothering him. It could the formation, it could be the injury, it could be the coach, the contract... i dont know. but something is not clicking on his head, and its palpable.

Just look at him everytime he is subbed, he looks like saying "you know what...fuk this..".
he has been unlucky too tho..if those posts were goals he could have been on a different mood.

lets wait and see.

I kind of agree, looks to me like the atmosphere around the club is poisonous this year, not that much room for being happy. The contract talks being continuously delayed doesn't help.

Some of the things he's trying on the field these days looks difficult when compared to last year.
I would not say is poisonous....i would save that word for clubs like inter, Napoli and Milan.... but yeh something could be going on. We are seeing more frustration in our players than usual. Its no coincidence that we have witnessed weird conduct events in the last months.

Gattuso isnt far off even if he may be exaggerating. Dybala has had a tumultous season for his high top level standard. Injury, new positon/formation that isnt ideal for him, the typical 2nd season slump after glorious first one and most importantly he isnt the best attacker we have anymore. Higauin takes the center stage and Dybala is the support player to focal point, its highlighted by the fact he was moved down to midfield to better accomodate things. But mostly I think new contract and a more healthy and consistent end to the season will do him good.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I recall that when Del Pietro had his first contract extension he was also playing inconsistently and unsettled. But after the new deal was struck, he exploded to his best again. So if dybala signs and stays I think the same thing will happen.
