So in a game we played shit, JGC and Mandzo didn't go deep just once. Alves and AS couldn't push harder cuz Udinese press high all game and Khedira-Pjanic didn't do any good pass between lines, turns out Dybala is the problem? Wonderfull line of thinking

I dont want to see his compilations, i want to see him playing like he is back.

Right now he seems to be missing somthing

Dybala is dropping way too $#@!ing deep at times, part of that is on Khedira for being a slug imo. 4-2-3-1 is better than 3-5-2 with our current players thank god but Dybala is not looking too impressive these days.
He seems to struggle a lot with the ball at his feet. It could be a number of factors: Him dropping to deep, his first touch sometimes being criminal, lack of space thru the middle.

About that last point, i really think we are lacking a lot of penetration from the wings. This is hurting dybala so much. teams just pack the middle area in front of the keeper, and that forces us to pass to cuadrado or mandzukic (mainly cuadrado).
Since Cuadrado is not exactly a world beater and finisher... he is most of the times forced to pass back or throw a hopeful crosss to higuain/mandzukic. We find ourselves doing this maneuver once after another until we score.
becaue of this, we see few of dybala...he is most of the times forced to pass to wings or lsoe the ball against double marks.

If our wingers were more independent and incisive...he would have a lot more freedom to operate. Right now...we just dont have players like Sanchez or Berardi, who are inminent treats on the wings......Dybala is terrific coming from the left side but as AM, this moments will be far and between.

We end relying way too much on Cuadrado...and he is not the most inteliggent nor decisive player out there.

Dont get me wrong guys, i know i tickle the tities of some when i talk about mandzo or cuads, but the truth is that if we are going to deploy this formtion....we need not one, but 2 world class wingers to open the play and create scoring chances themselves without being dependent on a back pass or miracle cross.

I will not blame allegri because he did wonderfull to adecuate the team to this new 4231...but the reality is that it was a desperate maneuver to counter the horrors of the 352, and we didnt prepared in the summer to play like this obvs.

If by next year, dybala continues this kind of performances even when our 2 wingers are killing it...then he will have to be reacomodated..and we will need a Treq.

We have to options:
We buy a WC treq and move dybala into Cuadrado´s position
Or we buy a WC Rwinger to replace cuads and let dybala continue being treq.

Cuads isn't that bad, his still a lot better than serie A wingers. The fact he fits our tactics like a glove and unlike traditional wingers covers the rb position so well he needs to stay.

Dybala on rw is suicidal IMO. He doesn't have the qualities of a winger, it would be a waste of his talent. He wouldn't fit our tactics where the winger runs back. Dybala just needs to adjust and grow into this position. However for that to happen he needs someone with strength I.e Mario to cover his position. Which brings me to a curious point. I'd like to see dybalas heatmap. To me he doesn't only drop deep but he also sways to the right. I rarely see him on the left. Maybe it's time he adjusted.

I like the 4-2-3-1 but long term to get the best out of Dybala, I think he needs to be up front not behind strikers.

He is similar to Del Piero, he has the qualities to be an AM/Trequartista but can make more of a difference as a striker.

No, Cuads is not bad at all. I have not say that. But im pretty sure we can find someone to give him a ride for his money on that wing. His workload is above average, very good.... but i still feel his endproduct is dodgy. We can do better. This doesnt mean we have to sell cuadrado.. not even close.. he is crucial.. but he cant play every game and be our go to guy

About Dybala not going to the left, i think the answer is because he evades his right foot like a plague.

I agree with you but that's the downside of rigid tactics. In a way, it restricts a player to do that which he might want to do. At Colombia he seemed a bit more flair flowing. The end product though his slow in crossing, takes his time, I don't know if that's because of him waiting for higgy or Mario to get in the right position or something else but he needs to think less and just do it. Unfortunately that's something I feel tactics won't allow. Pros and cons.

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is looking frustrated - Gennaro Gattuso

Gennaro Gattuso has expressed concern over Paulo Dybala's body language, saying he believes the Juventus forward does not look happy.

Gattuso, currently working at Serie B club Pisa, was Dybala's coach at Palermo and said he believed his former player cut a "frustrated" figure.

"Dybala's had a different expression on his face for the past four or five weeks," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"He looks really frustrated, as if something is on his mind. He doesn't have a happy face.

"I coached him at Palermo and everybody who knows him knows he's a very fun-loving lad, which is why this surprises me."

Dybala was due to sign a new contract with Juve in December but has still not done so despite saying that talks were "very advanced."

Reports have linked him with a move to Barcelona next season, and Gattuso said: "I think he feels he is less of a key figure [at Juventus].

"He has had an injury and he does look like he's not at his best physically. He's a player who usually burns up the field when he sets foot on it.

"He's both quick-thinking and quick-minded, but this is something that I've seen less of recently."

I kind of agree, looks to me like the atmosphere around the club is poisonous this year, not that much room for being happy. The contract talks being continuously delayed doesn't help.

Some of the things he's trying on the field these days looks difficult when compared to last year.
