I had a closer look at Paulo after watching several long individual highlights and here are some points:
Cons:
* His right foot is non-existent. He would break his ankle trying fancy tricks instead of using it.
* He likes placing shots in the far corner
a la Del Piero with every given opportunity, like he's playing FIFA. Most of them go flying by.
* His weak body sometimes hinders his pacey attacks and most of the time refs don't fault the defenders.
* His corners are worse than Pirlo's
Pros:
* Extremely fast dribbling; he goes past defenders like they aren't there.
* He comes deep like Tevez to lead attacks and he's good at it. Well, he distributes the ball well, but sometimes fail to hold the ball due to his weak body.
* Looks like a good free-kick taker.
Conclusion:
He has all the tools to become a world beater, but he has a lot to work on. I know he's still young, but his decision making isn't the best; he made lots of bad passes and took unnecessary bad shots in the videos I've watched. I believe he isn't suited for a Trequartista/SS role; he's too weak to hold the ball. His best role would be right winger and have the same duties as Messi in his early days.
