And this is exactly why Dybala is a greater player then Berardi. Dybala has the skills to play exceptional for a team in possession, while Berardi might be a lot better playing on the contras. It's really hard to judge these two players as they're both very young and unproven at highest level of football, though you can argue Dybala has the right skills to play for the dominant team, while also being able to hit on counter attacks.

I'd wait and see him play at least half the season first before already going into panic mode about his price/quality

The point I was trying to make was that giovinco played for empoli and Parma in formations we wanted to play him in as well. He was good for empoli and Parma but that never translated to similar performances for us. Saying it was the wrong formation or position for him is a cheap excuse because we saw him perform well as second striker for the minnows and guess what... giovinco does not play winger for Toronto but performs. I think I got a pretty strong case here. Playing well for a scrub team that does not pin back every opponent domestically and the expectation to place 6th in the league is a different thing than performing for us.
The prime difference is the amount of space he has in front of him. At Parma & Empoli he had a lot of that due to the often counter-attacking style of those teams. At Juve, he was faced with a packed penalty area in front of him. Playing him as winger would've helped in the sense that he would've had a bit more space out wide than in the center.

And how many seasons and switch of places he needed? A lot. He was given the chance.

Im not saying gio was good. But he was used in wrong places.
Marchisio was actually good enough to play those various roles. Gio can play only one position good, and even at that hes mostly a rotation level player for a club like Juventus

berardi / dybala.

berardi is (come at me) kinda like müller imo.
good at everything, but great at nothing,
expect for his positioning and the great runs he makes. call it instinct.
someone who watches only one game to judge him might not
see how good he really is.

dybala (40m price tag)
is better at pretty much everything if you ask me.
thats why we bring him in even for 32m.

i really hope dybala will prove me wrong but it looks very similar to a giovinco situation. back then there where many voices even stating "if giovinco was foreign and not italian, juve would by him for a big price" and now we got a young unproven argentian giovinco and paid a lot.
giovincos stats for parma are even better than dybalas stats for palermo.
giovinco had 70 games for parma scoring 23 and assisting 19 times.
dybala had 93 games for palermo scoring 21 and assisting 16 times.

just saying there is not that much too fapp about yet if we go by the numbers. he is not coming here to defend so if he does not assist or score for us he will be "useless".

anyways i wish pawel all the best of luck to hit the ground running with us.

Berardi and Zaza are overrated, just two good normal players, that's all.

Just watch their videos on youtube, nothing special...some moves..but that's it. (Hope i'm wrong.)

Dybala is top class,i really hope that will explode with us.

Really?. Or you forgot the wars that marchisio caused in this forum because we simply coudnt figure out which position he needed to play because he underperformed in all?.

Why did we buy Dybala and sell him directly to Arsenal?
evra said that dybala wanted to rather play for a big european club
Well this is just silly, we could have offered him the same yearly goal of achieving Champions League qualification year on year. Not to mention a forth place finish in the Premier League (seeing as that's the equivalent of winning the Scudetto)

good compilation mate,

and if he does not explode we can just blame allegri for not playing the formation or tactics for him.
i mean we clearly see that his best skills are scoring from deep inside the box or running at defenders at the counter attack. totally our game play, must become a hit.

thanks for making me feel like Ken M now ...:allegri:
