I think he means De Jong was forced to track and mark Dybala not vice versa
No he is NOT, he also said De Jong had room to operate 2nd half, because after he took out Dybala for Kean, Kean couldnt do the same task of pressurring/marking de jong so Ajax had more domination.

It just highlights the faulty mentality and approach when we are so much more focused on trying to stop their gameplan then exert anything of our own on them.

Yeah because Kean plays higher up the pitch, he isn't occupying the middle of the ground so De Jong had less defensive duties

I heard allegri say that Kean stretches the opposition team, not that he didn't pressure De Jong
I'm not sure if there was another interview where Allegri said what you quote however

No way Allegri made Dybala mark the other teams cm.
You'd be surprised. His strategy is about nullifying the opposition and taking away their strong points, rather than actually focusing on Juventus and allowing the team to impose its will on the opponent. Reactive vs Proactive.

Don't you have some Dybala defending to do or have you given up by now? @Bianconero81
I can't defend him after last night. Nevertheless, he was the least of our worries yesterday. The abysmal midfield coverage and shambolic defending in the 2nd half allowed Ajax freedom to tear us a new asshole; they were attacking at will and cruelly exposed our deficiencies. We looked so out of our depth; it was embarrassing. They were unfazed playing away from home; we seemed like the inexperienced away team. Worse performance since that disastrous 2nd half against Madrid in 2017.

Attackers are supposed to attack. If attackers track back and limit the opposition, then who the fuck is doing the attacking? We must be the only team in Europe that does this ridiculous shit. I don't see Mane and Firmino tracking back for Liverpool. Pep's strikers don't track back. I don't see Suarez and Dembele tracking back for Barcelona. Impose your will on the opponent and make them adjust to you, not the other way around.

We seriously need to move on from him next season, settle on a new project with different coach (hard to find one) before we decide on who to sell or buy.
Agreed 100%. People bashing our players and calling for a total squad revolution are mistaken to do so. You need to start from the head, that being the coach and then decide on who to sell and who to buy.

Having said that, it seems like Allegri will stay. If it is so, we probably should sell Dybala if a good offer comes in. We could reuse hat money to reinforce CB/CM area or simply buy an attacker/winger that suits Allegri's needs more.

He has mentally checked out for a while, that's more puzzling then what he does or doesnt do on the pitch.

Yup. Thats the real concern. His mind is elsewhere.
I understand his frustration by playing under allegris tactics, but lets be clear on something... he is a proffesional and he should behave like one. He has been nothing but a crybaby the last year.

So i asked where exaclty dybala excels other than his great finishing and took no answer
He is an excellent passer when he has runners in front of him.

This is a highlight reel from September 2016 to February 2017:

Our overall play as a team has deteriorated massively since the second half of 2016/17.

And Dybala has stopped looking to pass, the vast majority of the time, unfortunately.

Stop trying to make out that Dybala's poor season is 100% on Allegri. It's not. He has a pretty poor attitude and sulks around the pitch half the time, instead of working to get better.

Maybe he could fix his first touch. Maybe he could look up once in a while when he has the ball around the box, and notice that Ronaldo is on the pitch too. Maybe he could work on strengthening his weak foot. Etc etc.

Allegri has to bear some of the responsibility... I think the archaic fitness training methods we seem to have been using the past 2 seasons have left Dybala in fairly rough physical shape, and I definitely think Allegri could have tried playing Dybala further forward in a front 2 as the support striker far more often, especially last season with Higuain, and Costa in scintillating form on the wing... 4-4-2 might have been fantastic last year with Dybala further forward instead of playing in the mid.

I also think Dybala would look better if Beppe and Paratici hadn't destroyed any semblance of midfield strength we once had over the last 4 years. If we can afford to strengthen the midfield significantly (and backline) while keeping Dybala and Costa, and have a creative technical player in there so Dybala stops needing to drop so deep, I hope we do so.

But Paulo also needs to fix his attitude, put his head down, and get to work on improving himself.

Let’s say we sell Dybala this summer, and replace him with Felix.

Who is to say that Felix is going to develop and fulfill his potential here at Juve, as long as Allegri is our manager?

Most of our players have stagnated or regressed under his management. There’s no reason to assume Felix will be any different.
Which is one of the reasons I'm hardly excited for the upcoming transfer market. Allegri needs to change a lot of things and we're taking a gamble if we keep him. He can change but going on post match conferences I'm not sure it's enough.

Does anyone else wonder how Dybala's body physique changed so much over the last two years?
He appears much taller and a bit bulkier than he used to be - he seems sloppier and like his balance got fucked up, that's why he can't dribble anymore but still is not big enough to beat defenders with strength..
