Yeah after playing him out of position for entire last season we want to sell him Lukaku and Icardi aren't the solutions
Season 2017/18 is his best season. From the beginning of 2018 he has played 14 games/1063 minutes and has 8 goals and 2 assists. Those are stats from his best season so far. When he played at his most comfy position. Are those stats of a world beater?

So, we exchange him for Lukaku, who was even worse against the big clubs in the big moments? 1 goal against the Top 6 teams in the EPL last season. And we won't get into the fact that he is getting more and more out of shape every season
Lukaku is in doubt anyway.

We can both come up with reasons why both have their limitations

So if they both have limitations, and neither one has lived up to their potential, then it comes down to one thing as the deciding factor.

Talent.

So why would we do something like that? And if not Lukaku, who on earth are we going to get? If Mandzukic is sold, and Kean is already gone, our forward line is frighteningly thin, when you consider that Costa and Cuadrado are consistently injured, and Bernardeschi (who SHOULD be sold before Dybala any day of the week) is maddeningly incosistent

Lukaku/Icardi/Eriksen/Pogba
and what would be his ideal position with Ronaldo in the team? Allegri tried everything last year and you know the outcome, 5 goals!

Exactly. But we should have seen this coming considering he had about 1 assist to Higuain in 2 years.

He scored 19 goals and 9 assists in his first season and 22 goals in 17/18 season

Yeah, but from the beginning of 2018 until the end of 2017/18 season he had 14 games and 8 goals and 2 assists. This shows you his biggest issue even when he plays at his most comfy position - inconsistency.

I'd rather kept those 3 than sign Pogba, even though I highly doubt we're even after Pogba. We're after a player named Plusvalenza

I agree he is inconsistent but I am not sure whether Icardi and Lukaku are the solutions
