Wow. Nostradamus here. Knows the future.

If you end up right, feel free to gloat all you want. I really could care less if I end up wrong. And if Juve signs him for 30-40 mil and he turns out great, fantastic. If Juve signs him for 30-40 mil and he flops, which is an equal possibility, another disastrous big money transfer. YAY!
I'll tell you this, if Berrardi was owned by Palermo or some other club (let's say udinese) people would be crazy about him.

Some clubs really know how to market there players extremely well, but it's not the case with Juve (by the way it's not a new thing, we've always been like that ever since I started watching Juve).

Just look at the way Milan overhype their players to the max. That focker alshawarma had a half decent season with them and they overhyped to the point were comparing him with the best talents in Europe.

Kaka had a one great season in Europe in 2006 and he was hyped soo much that they've sold him for a record fee.

We never been like that, not now and not even under Moggi's years here.

Palermo is not marketing/branding Dybala very much tbh, he just happens to be a stand out player of their squad. We're not branding Pogba very much either, he's so good he's branding himself.. And everyone knows of our asking price; €100m+

If Palermo were truly branding their squad, they'd be having numeral offers for most of them by now. I doubt anyone has yet tabled an offer for their next best player, Vasquez..

That's my point, we never been a club who hyped our players.

Zidane was sold for a world record fee but he was hands down the best talent in the world for 4 years running before he made his move to Real.

Pogba is hands down the best young midfielder in the world right now, we hardly overhyped him but he's simply too good for his age.

If Pogba was a Milan player I swear you'd see Galliani and berlusconi raving about him every freakin single day and they'd compare him to Maradona and Pele !!

I don't read much Italian gossip so I might miss most of these stupid interviews anyways. But I see your point here, Zamp truly hypes Dybala beyond what we'd ever hype Pogba. We have Raiola for that

Who do you think we should currently hype more?

Milan have always been like that, they sign (when they had some money) attacking flair players even when they needed just a decent defender, because they are all about their attractive and exaggerated image, playing on their European Cup history, and Galliani is one of the most laughably biased braggarts around, but it's all strategy.

We've always had that style and arrogance about us where we go about things in a professional manner with belief in our own strengths, which goes back to the bourgeoisie roots and the Agnelli's. We just get the job done and quietly see ourselves as above the others domestically, and on par with a select few internationally.

Adding to that I think vasquez is playing even a more important role, yet, because he's a late bloomer he does not catch media attention

Seriously Vasquez?

Even being linked with these names makes me puke.

We're finally back in the big stage after more than a decade but hurr durr let's get average players.

When you claim a no-name player after one great season...at 21...as the next Messi....and worth 40-50m...you are marketing/branding the player.

The only one hyping Pogba is his agent or Pogba himself by what he does on the pitch.

I doubt we're naive enough to think that we can even dream of more CL Semi Finals if we only set our sights on fucks like Vasquez, raiding the bargain bin of Serie A some more.

Hope not, because we're screwed if we use what could be the best Summer Mercato in a long, long time shipping in fucking Palermo's and Sassuolo's attack.

I agree he's nowhere good enough to be a top target. Nor is he.

Although the combination of Dybala and Berardi is rather appealing IMO. Mind you Berardi could've played against us in CL for Monaco had we not already struck a deal with Sassuolo; http://www.football-italia.net/52374/€22m-monaco-bid-berardi-rejected

That could've changed your perception, and my, on Berardi, had he scored goals for Monaco in the CL.

Id love to get them both...but we are completely taking out experience and adding a ton of inexperience in attack. We would need to find one of those "pirlo/evra" type of deals to get experience elsewhere. Well, we have Tevez still and Morata is a year into the project himself. Maybe it isn't a bad thing since we have two sorta unheard of prodigies in Europe. :boh:
