Quite a high amount of great players come from small clubs. That's where they learn the fighting instincts.
true, but i remember tevez with boca in 2003 when he won the coppa libertadores at the age of 19..the way he leads them..you can tell that u r in a presence of a top player with bright future..i just can’t see that in dybala now

But, as Salvo said, he is one of only 5 players in Europe with double digits in goals and assists. The other 4 are Messi, ronaldo, Muller and de bruyne. Don't need to win silverwear to have the title of a good player.

i hope he does even better than tevez ..i just don’t want us go back to the days of iaquinta, amauri, vucinic with those kind of players that they can’t even score 10 goals in all competitions

I consider this move done and dusted now that we reached the semi's. Our recent financial prudence was great, but we all knew that soon we will have to double-down on a big signing or else this squad is going to stagnate. As others said, signing Tevez was the kind of 'opportunity' that comes along maybe once a decade and that goes twice for Pogba.

Dybala seems like the kind of signing that is worth the sum and the risk that goes along with it.

lol, it's always worth the sum when it's somebody else's money.

Now, theoretically.

Lets say we sell Tevez in the summer. Now, stop being a tard and yell how he's not leaving. Lets say he signs for Boca. So don't post formations with both him and Dybala behind Morata or whatnot.

So Tevez left.

Would you be happy if we signed Dybala as his direct replacement? So having Dybala, Morata, Llorente, Berardi, X (not Deneb).

Happy? Not happy? Pissed?
Terrible. Dybala needs massive improvement if our attack will remain as good. Dybala and Morata are too young and inexperienced to depend on. We need one proven world class striker and one youngster. Otherwise its too risky

But it looks like we'll gamble on this. We'll have Tevez for one more season so Morata and Dybala will have the time to grow. Marotta just admitted we're interested and if we get Dybala you can be sure we're not getting 'proven world class striker'.
We once got lucky with Tevez but these kind of deals are rare to pull off. Our squad is very old as things stand so getting young and talented players is always a good idea since we can't afford WC and experienced ones.

Tevez will stay here for another season, he confirmed it himself.
Dybala should replace Llorente, and Berardi replace Matri. That makes out forward line continue with Tevez + Morata partnership and maybe play Dybala at AM (or Tevez?) if we don't play a new formation. After all, We could go pure 433 with the signing of Dybala and Berardi..

dream! pogba and tevez and marota plus dybala very close to making the power team.if we switch to 4-3-3 for next season it would be best to play pogba as the other winger tevez and morata up front AND dybala behind them

Don't think there is any available players to replace Tevez in the Summer, so assuming he stays another season we'll have to take action next Summer

I'm not sure a top striker in good form will be available then either, at least not for anything less than what would surely be all of our budget + a huge wage increase. So maybe we finally transition to a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 or something? Because if we can't even maintain the level of our attack when Tevez goes, we'd surely be better off implementing a change that means we don't necessarily need 2 strikers.

Hard to say though, considering we're trying to predict the best course of action a Year from now.

As for Dybala being a direct Tevez replacement, I wouldn't be happy. I think he MIGHT have it in him to be a top class #10 one day but we're now back in the European spotlight and we're not a developmental club so unless he hits the ground running it's not going to work well for him as a man for man replacement.

It's worth noting that even if a top striker is available this/next Summer and we can afford him, that he has to be more of a #10 because a traditional #9 no matter how good won't replace Tevez, they would merely be an improvement on Morata.

i doubt we will see a change from a front two until tevez is gone and why change? the 4-3-1-2 has been great
