I haven't watched Dybala play a lot.

But from what I've seen, what stands out is sheer technique and intelligence. He doesn't seem to have great athletic tools, something very rare for a standout young footballer these days. I mean, he's clearly tiny and his acceleration / pace are kind of average, aren't they?

But intelligence is underrated. There aren't a lot of intelligent offensive players these days, and when they come up it's huge.

His balance and agility are two of his best physical attributes. He seems better built muscularly than berardi

Dybala has very impressive agility and balance. Very much like a Spanish style player. Low to the ground, quick turning, and fast feet in tight spots. He does seem to have this extra little grinta or whatever. Hard to explain. He has this absolute desire to win the ball. It's obvious that it is a bit different than most players.

But then there is Anderson who is like a Ferrari. :tuttosport:

Haven't we learned anything from the Amauri incident?
This boy is not prolific, or proven enough to be worthy of 20, let alone 35, esp in such tragic financial times.
If we sell Pogba to man city, a Dzeko like will be included in the deal and his salary will of course readjust to Italian standards.
I agree with you that he is not proven enough to warrant a 35 mill transfer fee. 20 is closer to what I'd pay for him. But I completely disagree on comparing him to Amauri. Sure both had one good season before we got them but Amauri had his at an old age and it wasn't even that good of a season he just scored some cool looking goals. Prior to that good season Amauri was a terrible player. Amauri was a terrible purchase and the price tag was insane for those days.

Dybala is a very young player and still has his whole career ahead of him. He was 20 years old last season and not 26 like Amauri was before he had his good last season at Palermo. So on the one hand you have a 21 year old player with one good season under his belt at the very start of his career while on the other hand you have a 27 year old player with one good season mid career. Also, the Amauri situation is rare. You wont run into such a case every year where a player is scoring fantastic technical goals for a year and then turns out to be completely talentless. Immobile's goals were almost all poachers goals for instance and these are the kind of goals that you normally see limited players scoring in abundance in their top-form season.

Dybala involves a risk as all players of that age do. If you wait until he is fully proven his valuation becomes too high for clubs like Juve. You gotta catch him while he is affordable.

Morata is an expensive youngster that we took the same risk with. If we had waited for him to prove himself at some other team he'd have been to expensive for us. He also could have flopped with us. If you'll take such a risk on a player with only one good season, make sure that its a young player who didnt have much chances before hand rather than an old player with the good season as an exception to his mediocre career. The probability that the good season is a fluke is lower for youngsters than it is for matured players.

The bolded part is spot on. Those two traits are by far his biggest strengths. He doesnt have world class athleticism, but his pace and acceleration aren't a weakness either. Definitely above average imo.

His dribbling and close control is class as well. Just needs to improve upon finishing a bit.

In my opinion, he has much grinta in his blood.
He can bring down zapata who has more muscle than him.
And after that, he scored the goal.
His coverage is very good.
He is like combination between messi and tevez.
But, i do not know if he will be as good as tevez/messi.

Nice way to make our squad younger.. But I don't believe we are going to get him.. Zamp wants way too much..
That's cool. When his contract expires in a year we will get him for free and offer him slightly higher wages even and walk away giving zamp the middle finger.
