Zamparini: ‘Juventus tight-fisted’
by Football Italia
Maurizio Zamparini admits Juventus are ‘determined’ for Paulo Dybala, but says the Turin club is ‘tight-fisted’ and he’d rather sell to Napoli.
The Palermo striker is a target for many clubs around Europe, and the club’s patron has given an update on the situation, comparing the forward to Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi.
“Is Dybala worth €50m?” Zamparini considered.
“At 21-years-old, how much would Messi be? He was like Dybala, and Dybala is the new Messi.
“They have bigger wallets in Qatar, therefor the French [Paris Saint-Germain] could pay it.
“I’d prefer [to sell to] Napoli above all, because [President Aurelio] De Laurentiis is very nice to me, and if Dybala becomes like Maradona he’d pay for himself in four years.
“With €40m we can buy other players to improve the team.
“Juventus are the most determined for the player, they have €40m, but also a tight fist.
“PSG are in pole, and would pay more than anyone, but [UEFA President Michel] Platini has invented Financial Fair Play.
“Let’s remember though, that Platini’s son works for PSG. Anyway, there are six teams in for him.”
