Very Gallaini-esque deal.

Old player, low transfer fee and big wages.

I think this transfer is probably fine for this coming season, but I'll be surprised if Evra is still a player worth that wage in the second year of his contract.

Plenty of people here laugh at things without justification.

Sometimes these signings work and sometimes they don't because it's very hard to know how quickly a player's physical abilities will deteriorate when they are around 34-35.

And it is particularly dangerous signing players of that age for roles that require a great deal of pace and energy.

Your career tends to extend further when you join Serie A. That's the law it seems.
