Parma finished the 2011/12 season in seventh place with 56 points, just two below Inter and the last Europa League spot. An excellent year, especially in the second half, and a fantastic finale: they rounded off their Serie A campaign by notching up seven wins on the bounce.
The Emilian side was considerably less successful on the road than at home, however: fewer points (21 compared to 35), fewer goals scored (20 of their 54 in total) and more conceded (33, compared to 20 at the Stadio Tardini).
Overall they clocked up 5 wins, 6 draws and 8 defeats on their travels, but they did come away from some tough grounds with all three points: 1-2 against Napoli, the same scoreline at Chievo, Palermo and Lecce, and a 0-2 triumph against Siena.
