I remember seeing this on TV but I can't remember when it was or who the opponents were.

It was just before a corner or free kick. Paolo Montero (bless him) is marking some guy and without looking punches him in the face. Needles to say, the guy is very upset but the ref didn't see it and the guy was so out of it that the ball is cleared without problem.

So, can anyone remember when this happened and who it was against?

Thanks in advanve,
Tue

I'm pretty sure an incident like that happened between Montero and Di Biagio when he was at Inter, I'm not sure if it's the one you're reffering to tho.

While I'm at it, do you know of any site that has season by season information for past Juve-players including goals, substitutions and cards?

do you know Montero is still in the squad at juventus.com?

he plays for San Lorenzo now
Actually I didn't know he was still listed in the squad, thanks. However, they don't list red cards and since there have been so many I can't remember how many he got in a given season, so I'm still looking for that.

He's had over 20 red cards in Serie A for Juve if I remember correctly.

One of my all time favourite Juve players. :D:D:D
I think it was 19, but I'm not sure. Yeah, he was class :D
From an old football quiz - if you answered it "correctly":

    You are PAOLO MONTERO
You should be locked up. You could carpet a pitch with your red cards. You're ruthless, calculating and arrogant. You make Hannibal Lecter look like a girl. Do the world a favour. Retire.

the difference is that montero could tackle if he wanted,he just preferred to take the man:weee: matrix is a poor defender who tries to bully players to make up his lack of skill.i used to love the look on monteros face as he went for the challenge, you could see the player shit himself

    Montero >>> Materazzi

Paolo "The Art of Punching Without a Sound" Montero was a Class Defender to adorn the Black n Whites.

the fact Di Biagio himself was also a hard man.
