From GOAL.COM:

I Would Run To Juventus - Zabaleta

A number of major clubs in Spain and Italy have been keeping their eyes out for the midfielder who can also switch and cover in defence, which would suit Claudio Ranieri’s tinkering tactics.

Zabaleta reveals that he would not think twice about joining the Bianconeri.

“I can’t guarantee my stay at Espanyol and I have offers to think about with my agent,” Zabaleta told Tuttosport.

“Juventus are one of the teams interested in me and if they call I will run to them for many different reasons.

“I would go to Juve because of the objectives they will fight for, the winning mentality, the chance to grow and the possibility to play for a great club.”

Ranieri is has been after a quality player all summer and it seems as if Zabaleta is a very real target given his penchant for the Turin-based side.

The transfer window closes this weekend and the Old Lady will have to move quick if she is to land the Espanyol star.

Signing this lad would be like hitting two birds with one stone...definitely would make our summer transfer campaign a success. And since he covers two positions, I can't see him crowding out the other players on the team that much especially considering the number of competitions we'll be in.

the kid's transfer price and reptutation are way under-rated compared to the likes of aquilani and other targets we've been seeking - this guy would definitely be a Moggi transfer if he were running the show...he'll explode in a year or two on to the european scene. him and diego capel were my hopes for this summer but since we've got to give giovinco the lead on the left flank due to our formation - i think zabaleta is the man

Tuttosport has obviously made that interview out of thin air.
From one donkey source to another.

Having said that he is a great player and he would be a massive coup

I watched Zabaleta playing for national and he is very strong. He will add some more power to our defense.

I used to play this player in my team on PlayStation (ProEvolutionSoccer) and he develops amazingly. And the people at Konami, have set some real characteristics to young taletns like Aguero (2 years ago I played him and developed huge), Joao Mountinho (2 years ago, and I heard that he is a talent first time this year at the Euro-s), Zabaleta, Di Maria (from Benfica ) and others... very intersting how they "guess" this...

Anyhow...I think that it will be good for us, plus he is not so expensive, and fits perfectly to our team.

I knew it:lol: That's probably why the managment are so keen on signing him:lol: They can't even spend 8million euros on a player that would be an improvement on what we have. Under this managment we will win nothing.
That's so true. Moggi on the contrary was someone who liked to splah the cash on a player who was in his last year of contract.

I hope you eat your words, this time next year.
I don't think i'll be doing that;) Another club will most probably come along ala Flamini, offer him a better wage packet & sign him. You can forget about Zabaleta pal;) You don't hope & wait for a year & that another club will not sign a player. There's something called "competition"
