Vucinic is more technically gifted, but Osvaldo is more of a goal threat. I don't think there is much difference between their values.

Considering the situation with Vucinic and how long he has been on the sidelines (selection and injury) if we can do a swap deal in terms of value then I don't see a huge issue. The big question mark against Osvaldo has to be his immaturity.
Mirko contributes a lot more to the overall play, however. Osvaldo might be more of a goal threat, but even so, he isn't a great goalscorer. I just can't understand, fathom, or justify committing to this guy long term, as he is a troublemaker and lacking in versatility. If Conte really wishes to be more flexible with his formation, Osvlado is not the type of player he should be targeting. Osvaldo is going to be a big big mistake. Mark my words.

He not really any less versatile than Vucinic? Osvaldo is a CF who can drift out to the LWF/SS. Vucinic is a SS/LWF who can also operate as a CF? Osvaldo just plays closer to goal.

You, for one, should be approving of my statement considering the tar you are sporting :D
vucinic will leave, now or in the summer. i´ve come to peace with that.
furthermore i´m not using the avatar because i´m a huge vucinic-fan (although i really like him, of course), i´m using it because i´m a big fan of cool-looking, sexy topless men with awesome beards...

i´m not the biggest osavaldo-fan though. he is quite talented and could play both roles (llorente/tevez) but his attitude-problems really make me wonder if that would be a good/decent deal.

And Quagliarella is neither.

Vucinic is 30 and Osvaldo is 28. if the fee is right I think this deal is pretty wise. Giovinco to take the backup SS slot from Vucinic

Didn't we once have that kind of arrangement with Liverpool for Aqua-pussy and we refused to pay in the end?
Yeah except they wanted a 15 million Buy option and I think they covered part of his wage for the loan? They ended up losing him for a lot less then the 25 million they paid for him lol. I think he went on loan to Milan then Fiorentina bought him permanently for next to nothing.. not sure though.

It would be interesting seeing him in a Juve jersey. Like many have already said, he's a decent player and if Conte can manage his 'dark side', we might well have signed a bench improvement for a reasonable price.

In no way, are we dramatically improving the team with a signing like this. I don't expect to sign a Ronaldo for the bench, but I'd much rather wait till June to assess our options. Osvaldo replacing Vucinic is not really improving us. And seeing his temper issues, faced with the lack of playing time Vucinic/Quag are dealing with, I don't expect a player like this to be any good for the dressing room. Hopefully, we don't lose Nani to Interl it will greatly reduce the pain of a signing like this.

Why do we need to dramatically improve the team? We are just replacing Vucinic because Inter fucked up the Guarin swap deal and left him in a tough situation.

Thing is, Vucinic is practically gone. Do you really want him back on the team after what he's been through this mercato? He'd probably be even more confused than Osvaldo is :D

Seriously though, I've never said Osvaldo would 'dramatically' improve this team. Only that if his head is right, he could well turn out to be a really good backup and a nice option to have.
