tevez und llorente probably won´t reach 20 goals... so i doubt osvaldo would ^^

what kind of argument is this? he would also cost as much as tevez (or even more if we don´t consider the boni) and 12mio more than llorente. as we are making weird comparisons one could also say that he would cost as much as tevez, llorente, pirlo, pogba and barzagli combined ^^
He scored 16 in 25 starts for Roma last season in Serie A. And Roma were really bad last season.

I am just saying a striker of his ability is typically a great deal more expensive then the price we would pay for Osvaldo. Tevez's situation was a bit different given he was on massive wages and City were happy to get rid of him. Osvaldo's salary would also prob be only about 2 million a season. We wont be able to find anyone with his ability for this type of fee.

Zeman was coaching three quarters of the season, strikers goals are invalid

lol its not like they broke goal scoring records with Zeman. If osvaldo started every game in Serie A for Juve or the current Roma... I am pretty sure he would hit close to 20 most seasons with the amount of chances we have.

Osvaldo is a good player and would improve our center forward pool.

Never lasted for more than 2 seasons at a single club, and his numbers aren't that great either. I mean, if his talent justified his attitude and price tag, and he was somewhat younger, I'd be total in support of this transfer.

However, we aren't talking about a talented/enigmatic young gun with potential here, and nor are we talking about a quality/established striker with a proven record. He is a cancer that infests any club he goes to, causing more harm than good, and he ins't even that prolific ffs!

This guy is like Matri, but with a far worse attitude, and a far less likable personality.

Osvaldo as a back-up would be pretty good.

He's superior to both Giostinko and Quagliarella. He makes them look like scrubs, dude is proven goalscorer in the league imo.

Proven my testicles. Are you basing this off his one season with Roma? He was shit with Fiorentina.

Moreover, he is not coming in to replace Quag or Gio. He is coming to replace Vucinic, who is far superior to him in every aspect and facet of the modern game, except heading the ball. Come to think of it, maybe heading the ball too much caused Osvaldo to lose some of his brain cells, and possibly his brain altogether.

@Bianconero81

imagine Osvaldo now and then Pazzini/ Gilardino in the summer?
:wth: If Conte actually approves that, then I shall seriously begin to worry about our chances in Serie A, let alone the CL.

If he was such a bad person I dont think Conte would allow him to come here or Prandelli would have selected him so much for the national side. Also there are enough people at Juve who have played with him for Italy in the past to know him as a person. The press does not make him out to be a monk but maybe he is not as cancerous as you think.

Also he is a far better player then Matri.

Who knows.. maybe Lamela and Fonte deserved to get beat up.

Far better player :howler:

Please take off your Osvaldo goggles. He is a piece of shit, and a total downgrade to Vucinic (who we should not be disposing of in the first place).

I can't reason with people who are so oblivious and blind to the obvious.

Is this guy necessary for our title push? Absolutely not.

Will he make a difference in Europe? Seeing as we are out of the CL, I'd say no. If we are counting on him for next season as well, the answer is an emphatic FUCK NO!

Even I can't put a positive spin on this one. I can't even pretend to like him to annoy the likes of Bianconero81 and The Cusp :D

Just don't go near him. Poor attitude, sulky as fuck, and he's really not that prolific.

Good for you man. Hopefully if this disgusting cancerous vermin joins our beloved club, we ship him back once he has his Serie A medal. I seriously hope someone shoves a giant steel pipe up his A-hole, crippling him for the rest of his pathetic existence.

I'd rather England win the fucking World Cup than see Osvaldo in a Juve shirt. Ok, maybe I went a tad too far now.

I am genuinely pissed. I detest/despise/loathe this abomination of a footballer. I can't fathom our interest in him, and the sight of such a character in a Juventus shirt is so disturbing and panic inducing. Cringe-worthy indeed.

Fukk the price tag for a permanent transfer. We only need him on loan as a backup and then we'll send his ass back to England. Spend € 10m on Gabbiadini and let him be our replacement for Mirko long term. We could need Osvaldo for the spring, an upgrade to Seba and Fabio but not a long term solution for € 18m !!

Calm down, 81. You're taking it too serious.

No need to be over-aggressive just so people would laugh at your posts.
Easy to say for a Romanista who got rid of such a turd for nice chunk of money.

He really makes me :inter: I'd take Gilardino and Borriello ahead of him, seriously. Diamanti and Cerci would be better too even though I despise all of them.

Like I said, I wouldn't want him at Juve due to his mental problems.

Gilardino, Borriello and Pazzini are something worst that happened in the history of attackers. So no thanks.

I really dont feel like Osvaldo is meant to take Vucinic's spot in the team but more so compete with Llorente for a spot as the CF. Vucinic is more of a Tevez/ Giovinco position kinda guy. He did play well with Tevez at the start of the seaosn but Conte has never really used Vucinic as a CF for long periods of time given the fact he is better at creating and not so great at finishing.

Anyway Osvaldo knows serie A and is a very talented player. If we can get him for 12 milion Euro I will be very happy. I hope we dont spend more then that though. his Salary is 2.5 million Euro at Southampton but he made only 1.5 I think at Roma so maybe we can convince him to take a pay cut and save some money. I think it will do him a lot of good to be in an environment with Pirlo, Buffon, Tevez.. etc. Its different from getting lit up by Fonte in training then punching him in the face lol. If Fonte hit me hard in training I would prob punch him in the face too. Don't forget Lamela spit on Lichtsteiner so its not like he is a princess... prob had it coming.
