patton does it all, extremely well. opera, screaming, rock, folk . you name it , he dominates it. layne was good, but not diverse nor skilled enough to be compared with patton.

oh i juat saw you used epic as an example, obviously you havent listened to his music if thats your example.

:facepalm: Staley had amazing skill and talent, you're just biased if you can't say that.

I've listened to enough of his music (mostly faith no more) to know that I don't like his voice. And I was just using an example of his voice on one of his or if not the most famous song(s).

layne was a top notch singer, patton is just better. its hardly an insult to state the obvious. if you like or dislike his voice is withiut significance to the argument if who sings better, technically. im saying that patton blows layne out of the water, and you will keep on your stubborn love for the one dimensional, good day.

sure maybe a better singer technically but no way in hell does he sound better than Layne.

his singing style is fucking lame and you can't say he sounds better than Layne:

Layne was one heck of a singer, I doubt Patton could sing Man In The Box and hit those notes every time live.
