Chapecoense: Brazilian team win first title since plane crash
Chapecoense have won their first title since most of their team were killed in a plane crash.
Only three of the Brazilian club's players survived November's crash, when 71 of 77 people on board died.
Top clubs from Brazil and Argentina offered to loan players to Chapocense, who signed 25 new players this season and promoted nine from the youth team.
They lifted the Santa Catarina state championship on Sunday for the second straight year, despite losing to Avai.
Chapecoense were beaten 1-0 in Sunday's final play-off, but their 1-0 victory in the first leg meant their better record over the course of the season was decisive.
The club dedicated the win to those who were killed, with new coach Vagner Mancini saying: "We knew that Chape would have a lot of difficulties because of the rebuilding of the team, but because of the work we reached the title, beating opponents who are rivals and difficult to beat."

PAOK fail with appeal against leaders

It was an ambitious plan to win the league but second-place PAOK lost an appeal at the Greek federation that paves the way for Olympiakos to be officially named champions.
PAOK had requested that Olympiakos be docked six points for violence during last month's Greek Cup semi-final first leg against AEK Athens.
Had the decision gone PAOK's way they would have been declared champions because the season ended last week with Olympiakos six points in front but with PAOK having a better head-to-head record.
A final decision on whether Olympiakos will officially be declared champions will be made by the Super League.

A Swedish top-flight fixture between Gothenburg and AIK has been postponed after an alleged match-fixing attempt.
The Swedish Football Association claims an AIK player was "offered a considerable sum" if he contributed to losing Thursday's Allsvenskan game.
General secretary Hakan Sjostrand described it as a "very serious attack against Swedish football", adding: "We will never let this happen."
Police in Sweden have started an investigation into the allegation.
"It is ultimately not about a single match, therefore it is important we act forcefully," added Sjostrand.

Have to say it was very corageous by these two AIK players to immediately sound the alarms when they were approached. Its easy for these criminal betting gangs to threaten and influence under paid division 3 players, but they were ballsy enough to do it to ones in major team, and probably happend before considering the ode of silent culture thats generally in sports, but they immediately informed the authorities litterally as soon as they were approached.
