Yup, i'll have you know that Libyan state Tv issued warnings against countries in the Nato coalition, that if they don't stop "bombing" Libya, that similar things will happen in European countries. Above all that, Gedaffi himself said that Europe should expect attacks in their countries.

Anyone want proof of either of those, ask for it. As i know we have some Gedaffi lovers over here. I certainly wouldn't put it past the mad dog, he is the one responsible for Lockerbie, the French plane over Niger and the death of Yvonne Fletcher.

In all cases, RIP to all the victims. Norway has always been a peaceful country, it didn't deserve any of this.

If you ask me, its either related to Norways involvement in Afghanistan, or its involvement in Libya.
Or that they (a newspaper, can't remember the name) reprinted the Muhammad Cartoons.

I hope Libya isn't involved. That would give NATO a bigger mandate in terms of troops and what they can do in Libya.

As long as it doesn't entail ground troops, that wouldn't actually be a bad thing. Gedaffi is a danger not only to Libyans, but to the world as well. He should be removed.

Back on topic, weren;t the cartoons published in Denmark? Why would they target Norway for that?

Now someone has opened fire on a small island called Utøya 30 km west of Oslo, a man disguised as a Police Officer. Apparently people are trying to get away from the island by swimming. Crazy stuff going on in my fellow scandinavian Country :frown:

They were originally. But a Norwegian Newspaper reprinted them and there have been threats towards Norway ever since.

About a month ago a book about the cartoons, containing the cartoons also, was released in Norway.

The police has confirmed that they have found several casualties inside the bombed buildings. They do not want to say how many.

At least 10 people are seriously injured.

5 people are reported injured in the shooting on the Island Utøya.
