Melo and TWW were clear civilians.
If you said: "I am the bodyguard and tonight I'll save one of me, Melo or TWW" the Gs weren't gonna go after any of you, in fear that you protected the guy they want to whack. That way you'd have formed a Civilian group and the three of you could have worked together, vote together and find the Gs.
