Juventus FC have signed Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AFC Ajax for around €19m while also completing a deal for defender Fabio Cannavaro from FC Internazionale. The latter transfer is an exchange agreement which sends Uruguayan goalkeeper Fabian Carini in the opposite direction.

Zlatan to Juventus - this time it's real

Aug 31: Zlatan! Benvenuto a Torino!
According to Italian news agency ANSA, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will sign a four year contract with Italian Serie A side Juventus. No financial details have been revealed but the transfer is estimated to around 19 million euros.

Swedish daily Aftonbladet writes that Ajax has confirmed the deal and that Zlatan will travel to Turin today to sign the contract.

The Swedish national team gathers today in Göteborg for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, Zlatan was not present.
- Zlatan will come to Göteborg tonight or tomorrow morning, says Jonas Nystedt, press officer of the Swedish FA.

In order for Zlatan to play the coming Champions League game between Ajax and Juventus in the Italian shirt, the deal must be signed and registered with UEFA by midday tomorrow Wednesday.

Zlatan has played for Ajax since 2001 and scored 35 goals in 74 Eredivisie appearances.

Zlatans contract also expires next summer and he said many times before that he wont re-negotion it, that means that ajax will lose him next year on a free transfer, Surely Ajax not that stupid...So Welcome Ibra

That's not true Forza-Bian...you have to check your sources better

Zlatan's contract expires in the summer of 2006.
He cán stay this summer and in first instance Zlatan said he wanted to stay but after the VDV - Zlatan incident Zlatan declared it would be very hard for him to ever play in a squad with VDV again. But he could stay this season but next season he has to be sold yes...and Ajax isn't stupid...that's the only correct thing you said :p
