Ibra agent blasts Totti
Friday 3 February, 2006
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has launched a verbal attack on Francesco Totti for his part in his client’s sending off on Wednesday night. "There should be trial by television for diving," said Mino Raiola.

Ibrahimovic was dismissed for kicking the ball at a prostrate Totti after the Roma captain had thrown himself to the ground following a challenge by Pavel Nedved – another of Raiola’s clients.

In the ensuing fracas, Olivier Dacourt was sent off for reacting angrily to Ibrahimovic, while Nedved was booked for his foul.

Raiola insists, however, that had it not been for Totti’s behaviour there wouldn’t have been any cards shown.

"What happened was not Pavel’s fault but somebody else’s," he said. "In fact, there should be trial by television for diving.

"Obviously, Totti has still got it in for him because he had the guts to leave Rome to go and win things.

"Totti, on the other hand, is only a lion at the Stadio Olimpico," he added. "When he’s far from his own ground he must have a bit of difficulty because he has played 150 away games against 180 in the capital."

Not content with criticising the Italy international for playing to the crowd in more than once sense, the football agent went on to highlight the increasing problems of racism in Italian grounds and argued that the likes of Totti should stand up against them.

"I’d like to advise Totti to maybe risk unpopularity for once by condemning the unacceptable Nazi banners that have appeared at the Olimpico recently," he continued.

"Then maybe we would begin to respect him. Given his past, though, I don’t think he has anything to teach any of us."

Zlatan joke
Ronaldo, Figo and Zlatan are standing before God at the throne of Heaven. God looks at them and says: "Before granting you a place at my side, I must first ask you what you believe in"

Ronaldo says: "I believe football to be the food of life. Nothing else brings such joy to so many people".

God offers Ronaldo the seat to his left.

Figo says: "I believe courage, honour and passion are the fundamentals of life I´ve spent my whole playing career providing a living embodiment of these traits"

God offers Figo the seat to his right.

Then God turns to Zlatan, "And you Zlatan, what do you belive?"

"I belive, says Zlatan, "you're sitting in my seat."

Ibrahimovic: "Non volevo colpire Totti"
03 02 2006

----------------------------------------------------------------

Zlatan say´s that he did not want to hit totti with ball..and there was nothing bad with Dacourt..

After reading this I thought I owe him to take a look at the play again. I really want him to be inoocent in my eyes.. Honestly, there were no reason to kick the ball at that direction expcet to hit totti. No player was behind him. So it wasn't a pass to a player. Too bad Zlatan, I hope you get your head straight and focus on the game. We do miss you.

have to disagree.. it was all so fast. I don´t think that zlatan wanted to hit totti, even if that idiot had deserved it.

I'd laugh if Ronaldo didn't get a seat in heaven.

Moggi insists Ibra will stay
Friday 3 February, 2006
Luciano Moggi has confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be sold to Real Madrid. "It’s just pub talk," he said. "And if they did ask we’d say, 'no’."

After a strong start to the season Ibrahimovic is currently struggling for form and has not now scored for over two months, but that has not stopped the speculation that continues to associate the Swede with a possible move to Spain.

Moggi, however, insists that Juventus do not intend to sell any of their leading lights, starting with their highly-prized 22-year-old.

"It’s not true, it’s just pub talk," he said. "And if Real did ask we’d say, 'no’. We already have the best attack and so we are going to keep hold of who we have got."

The general director also added that he had not fined Ibra for getting sent off against Roma in midweek.

The Scandinavian striker was shown a red card for kicking a ball in frustration at Francesco Totti, but the Bianconeri insist that the referee was wrong to dismiss him.

"Not fining him was not a matter of choice," he explained. "It was a matter of duty. Players are only fined when it is correct to do so."

Moggi also felt it was correct to clear up speculation linking him with a sensational move to Milan.

As well as refuting the likelihood of any imminent move to the San Siro, he also denied that Milan were in such a crisis as to require his services.

"I have not had any approach," he said. "They’re not out of it yet. They obviously have some work to do there but I don’t think Milan need to be rebuilt."

At present it is the Rossoneri’s city rivals, Inter, who are the most obvious threat to Juve retaining their League title.

Eight points currently separate the two sides and all eyes will be on the 'Derby of Italy’ when they meet on February 12.

"I don’t know whether or not it will be decisive for the title," he said. "Inter are our main rivals at the moment, without question, but I knew that would be the case."

Moggi, though, clearly cannot conceive of Roberto Mancini’s men reining in Juve to win their first title since 1989.

"Inter have the quality to come second and I think they can do it," he continued before dismissing the notion that their run-in is easier than that of the Nerazzurri.

"I don’t like easy matches – just look at our last game against Roma in Turin."

La Vecchia Signora will be looking to bounce back after their Italian Cup disappointment with continued League success at home to unpredictable Udinese on Sunday afternoon. Inter, meanwhile, host Chievo and Milan travel to Lazio for the Sunday evening match.
