Chelsea have failed in a bid for Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to Italian press reports.

The Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Blues owner Roman Abramovich was ready to splash £35million on the Swedish international but the Serie A outfit are not prepared to sell at any price.

Ibrahimovic, currently in contract talks with Juve, is happy to stay in Turin and recently indicated he wants to stay at the club for the rest of his career.

I just read the votes for Fifa player of the year, Captains and coaches of the national teams are the ones who vote. Interesting to see who voted for who.

They give votes for their top three players in the world.

Captains who voted for Zlatan were, Fabio Cannavaro(nice of him) David Beckham, Luis Figo and Micheal Ballack among others.

Coaches were, Sven Göran Eriksson(what a surprise) and Marcello Lippi( good man), there weres some others too but none that stuck in my head.

I have to say, it is a surprise that figo, beckham and ballack voted for him, after all, juve beat them all(ballack 3 times in CL and figo 2 times; in cl and now seria a also), so they should hate him.....

Was he the only juve player? was there any top3 lists what contained only italian players? only juve players?

lippi picking zlatan is by NO means poor judgement.the coaches i believe,know more about the game and the players than some people sitting behind their pc's posting stuff.
