Hi guys

I've been reading this forum for a month now and I must say that you are great. In my opinion most of you seem to be very competent regarding football. I agree with Akerman that in Sweden the only thing you see in the newspapers about Juventus are "Zlatan saved the day", "Capello loves Zlatan", "Zlatan was threatened by supporters" etc... Almost nothing about the other players in Juventus. Fortunately Zlatan himself often talks about the team effort. In this forum I can get a more objective view of the games that Juventus play. I'm very grateful for that.

I've noticed that some of you don't admire Ibracadabra and some of you do. I do admire Zlatan. For me Zlatan is the best. Thats rather strange since I've watched approximatly 0.000005% of the players in the world. I can't explain and prove why I think Zlatan is no.1. I guess it's mostly because I grew up in his home town.
My heart tells me that Ronaldino sucks but my brain knows that he is pretty good.

When Zlatan led Malmo FF to the top division (Allsvenskan) in Sweden he told the press that "I will struck like a bomb in Allsvenskan" and ofcourse he did. No one could match him. He was 19 years old I think?? How can a person say that if he is that young? I admire that. I'm also a huge fan of the line "Swede or Croat what do you meen? Zlatan is Zlatan." Thats because I agree that Zlatan is Zlatan. All his magic, technique and temper in three small words.

Here comes what I really wanted to write. When I watch a game, with Zlatan on the field, I'm usually quite bored. Thats because I don't know very much about football. Mostly nothing happens. Zlatan is offside, Zlatan is in the wrong place, Zlatan runs with the ball into 8 defenders and looses the ball etc..
Then suddenly time stops. My heartbeat raises. It's is magic on the field. Zlatan does something that I know is almost impossible. How can I know that? I don't know anything about football. I just know anyway. My reaction is often to be paralysed, my mouth looks like a birds nesting box and my eyes stops blinking. Sometimes I get tears in my eyes. It's even more fun when I hear that the commentator is just as stunned as I am. The feeling is the same as when Michael Johnsson ran 200m in 19.32 sec. You just get gooseflesh and you wan't to see the replay just to be sure that it really did happen. Then you start running around with the intension to tell everybody that it really did happen. The difference for me is that you don't see Michael Johnsson doing things like that every other week.

I know that you guys can shoot me down like a sitting duck. I simply don't have your knowledge. Maybe his tricks isn't that impossible.

Del Piero, Zlatan, Ronaldino, etc... are all great. In the end its your heart that makes the choice.

I do hope and believe that Juventus will win the current Champions League. When I see Juventus games I can't notice any week spots. Great defenders, great middlefield and great forwards that complement each other.

I just needed to share my opinion and to give you some credit for your work.

No new deal yet for Zlatan

Thursday 15 December, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are not in the process of extending Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract, his agent revealed today. "It’s completely wrong," said Mino Raiola.

Reports in Italy had suggested that Ibrahimovic was poised for a new golden handshake that would tie him to the Bianconeri until 2010 on a salary of over £3m a year. However, Ibra’s manager said that there was no such deal in place.

"I don’t know who wrote that but it’s completely wrong," said Raiola. "We are not discussing anything – we have a contract at the moment and both ourselves and Juve are very happy with it.

"The player is content too," he added. "He isn’t playing with contract thoughts at the back of his mind. Juventus’ directors are experts and they know when and how to go about striking new agreements."

Ibrahimovic has been a huge hit since signing from Ajax for £11.5m in the summer of 2004. He scored 16 goals in 35 appearances last term, helping Juve to the Scudetto in his first year in Serie A.

This season, although he has not been as prolific in front of goal, he has cemented his berth in the first team under Coach Fabio Capello, who is a huge admirer of the silky skills and creative link-up play of the tall 24-year-old.

The Sweden international’s contract doesn’t run out until 2008, but the Bianconeri are sure to secure the long-term services of their new icon when the time is right. Not that he is short of admirers.

Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona and Chelsea could financially net the fiery Scandinavian, but whether or not the striker would want to leave Italy is another matter.

"You wouldn’t have to be a genius to find a club that would be interested in Zlatan," continued Raiola. "But there are only four in the world that could afford him and I don’t think he would want to join any of them anyway."
