It's hard to judge how good Stendardo is. The entire Lazio squad is poor and thus Stendardo is surrounded by poor players, but he does stand out as one of their better performers. Last season Lazio were a solid side, their solid structure and organisation at the back contributing to it. For me Dellio Rossi = Lazio though, without him they would really be in trouble.

Stendardo could be an average player in an average side made to look good by a good coach. Or he is a good player in an average side, who'll shine when he finds his place(that place being a better side).

Options in January are extremely limited, especially for a non-CL side and one that isn't sure of CL football next year.

I don't particularly rate Stendardo, but we need defenders and he was one one the better options available.
