Ok not to go after the best or get that good ones in january, a solid or bit above average is good enough....but these players are bottomfeeders :faq1: Boumsong is capable compared to them, Mellberg is a dreamsigning compared to them.

I joke to laziali friends of having being dethroned so much as a big team that they have the likes of Stenonardo (and we are interested in samp leftovers??), and now we are rumoured withh him, and its a plausible rumour....

Lucchini is very average and would be just another Grygera.

Campagnaro has been good every time I've seen him, though. He can play to the right too.

Even Mirko Pieri is a better left-back than Molinaro. Maybe we should get him too.

Better to think ahead and raid Samp before we're competing for a UEFA Cup spot with them.

And to be even more critical... the people with the most influence are in parenthesis...

Salihamidzic: ok - (Secco/Ranieri)
Iaquinta: very good - (Moggi tracked/Secco)
Belardi: FAILURE - (Secco/Deschamps)
van strattan: WHO? - (Secco/Raner)i
Andrade: 10m € INJURED 6 months - (Secco/Ranieri)
Boumsong: bah, and probably SOLD to Lyon - (Secco/Deschamps)
Palladino: FAILURE - (Moggi/Deschamps/Ranieri)
Grygera: FAILURE - (Secco/Ranieri)
Nocerino: Good start, so-so atm - (Moggi/Secco)
Molinaro: can't cross, can't mark - (Secco/Ranieri)
Tiago: FAILURE - (Secco/Ranieri)
Marchionni: INJURED ALL THE TIME (Moggi)
Zanetti: Very Good (Moggi)
Paro: Fabregas hey? lol (Moggi/Secco)
Criscito: LOANED OUT and in need of CB's (Moggi/Secco)
Giovinco: best talent LOANED OUT (Moggi/Secco)
Marchisio: LOANED OUT (Moggi/Secco)
Almiron: payed 9m, LOANED OUT (Secco/Ranieri)

Yikes! Nearly every failure is connected to Secco and Ranieri. All the successes are attached to Moggi in some way except Salihamidzic, and even he's not outstanding.

Give them time, Mark. They can only improve. :howler:
Yeah well they can`t get any worse. :D

Our staff are a bunch of freakin' amateurs. I've said a million times and I'm sorry if I repeat myself.
If it's true that we've sold Boumsong after loaning out Criscito and we got the shaft from Villa and go for plan C-D-E...then the Cobolli boys should be fired this instant.
I`ll always agree with that.

from the same programme :

Lucchini has the biggest chance to join us than the other tow players .

60% that he will sign for us on a loan deal .
:moan:

Man, we're such a mess at the top.
We sure are.

In the end we`ll end up just with Sissoko. :pumpkin:

Lucchini didn't even start against us.
:lol2:
I have no idea why but i found this info very funny

I'm really getting nervous about our transfer policy. Everything we don't want to happen is actually happening day after day.

Ok, with Chiellini and Legro doing well, it's not like we're in emergency for a world class Cb. Another thing is that it's very hard and close to impossible to buy a world class player in January. All we need for now is a solid defender, that we can get on loan and then at the summer we can buy a WC CB.

But this is only in theory. In reality we'll do the opposite. We'll buy some average guy now (someone like this Lucchini guy) and with Andrade's come back we'll have 4 central defenders and buy no-one in the summer.

I don't think its a theory... I think that's what's happening. They lucked out on Legrottaglie being good, cause I think they thought Criscito-Andrade was their long term plan, but Criscito wasn't quite ready for that pressure. Now its Legro-Andrade short term (Chiello back to LB) and Criscito-Andrade/Chiellini long term.

We can dream of Zapata, Barzagli, Carvalho, Marquez, Castro, Ramos, etc. but I think when Legro became solid, they gave up and decided they were set and could go forward shopping.

Except the players in bold are not Ranieri's choices though. We know that The board was intent on signing Almiron and Tiago before Ranieri was in charge. Sali, Grygera and Molinaro were brought in before Ranieri took over. (Sali and Grygera signed for us around this time last year)

True, but you can still say that Ranieri influenced them, be it, endorsing them, or running them into the ground.

Is it safe to say we're no longer a big club? Should we start aiming at the UEFA cup instead of CL? Because all these transfer targets by our management seem to indicate that's how they feel. Buying average players is what a small club does.

I was obviously being sarcastic, but the transfer moves in the last 2 years have been implying we're a freaking mid table club, not Juventus.

What's so bad aiming to win the UEFA-Cup for one year? I don't really understand why people are complaining that much. I'm a juve-fan just as you are, and i know hostory and all the usual points u refer to, BUT look at the things the way they are. The problem IS, we don't have a squad to compete for CL (we are not able to win against the likes of sampdoria, do you want us to beat Barca, or ManU??) I would LOVE to see Juve play (&WIN) in Uefa-Cup. At least we could show that we are a BIG club. Just being a big club because it was for 100 years is just nonsense. Let's demonstrate that we are worth it, not because of our history but because of our skills, and you'll see that the star-players will come more easily than right now!
