Don't think so really. You have to register players to play in the CL from before. It must be sometime this month or the other for the second half of the year. Why would we write down Mutu? So he can play one match if we go to the final?

why not?

I have a question, can Mutu train with the side during this suspension? I know he could not in London, obviously.

AFAIK, yes he can. When he was banned, it was said that he can train with any side, so I dont see why can't he train with us now that he is officially Juve player.

If thats true, its good news. Might as well get him ready to go early and let him become aquainted with his new club.

This will make it better than the Crespo situation that took him months to start to play decently, Mutu will be in a decent form from the beginning

Juve confirm Mutu deal
by Nadia Carminati & Graeme Bailey - created on 12 Jan 2005

Juventus have announced the signing of former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu on a five-year contract.

The Bianconeri have long been linked with Mutu, ever since he was sacked by Chelsea earlier this season for a positive drugs test.

Mutu was banned until May by the Football Association for his failed test and that suspension was made worldwide by Fifa.

Despite not being able to play until after May, Juve have agreed terms with him.

"Juventus have obtained the services of Romanian striker Adrian Mutu," said a Juventus statement.

"With Bianconeri he has signed a five-year deal."

Mutu will reportedly be paid €1 million at Stadio Delle Alpi and he will actually be eligible for Juve's last two games of the season - as they come after his ban has expired.

The 26-year-old cost Chelsea just under £16 million when he arrived from Parma in the summer of 2003.

His Stamford Bridge career started brightly, but he soon lost his way and his stay in English football ended in disgrace when he failed a drugs test.

Chelsea took the brave decision of cutting all their ties with the player by sacking him, which has now allowed him to join Juve on a free transfer - something which The Blues may yet object to.

If Mutu shows his old Parma form could this be the end of Trezeguet at Juventus? I know Barkuss sure hopes so..

I also have a feeling the DP fans will have a fit with this.
Nah don't worry, he's Juventino now.. so i gotta support him....

Welcome to Delle Alpi Mutu...

Great News!! Now let's sell DP for a whole heap of cash ( I wish ). The only position we need now is a playmaker. I wish I could e-mail my suggestion of Tarek El-Taeb to Moggi. :D He's quick, skillful, with good vision and passes with amazing accuracy.

I sure hope that part of the team is strengthened do, no matter who we get.

@ Arif, Did Di Canio really say that about Totti?
