That's not even what I'm arguing. I'm talking about right now. Nocerino isn't playing well right now and I think he should be placed on the bench. It's only fair after Almiron and Tiago were benched all that time. I don't care if we "need" him on the pitch (whatever that means, in economics it means nothing).

Fair play here.
Fair enough.

If Ranieri treated all players equally, he would have dropped Nocerino and given Tiago or Almiron more of a chance in recent weeks.

I assume the signing of Sissoko is to enable him to make changes in CM, whilst still playing two destroyers.

2 destroyers is perfect for Italy, only if you have speed & crossing on the wings.

That was the case with our squad 2 yeras ago. Nedved & Camo played quite welll, and we had Vieira & Emerson. That was I think the most balanced midfield in the world then...

Vieira knewed to make good passes, & nedved covered good in defence. Everyone were capable of playing variety of duties.

I know a lot of people didn't like playing defensifly, but I liked it a lot. The formation, the strategy and we were unstopable. I miss those days:cry:

You can be creative even with two destroyers and win the CL (Gattuso-Ambrosini + Kaka-Seedorf-Pirlo).
You just need to find the right players and set the tactics right.

With our current team we won't have much creativity even if we don't use a single destroyer so 0 DMC's, 1 DMC or 2 DMC's makes no difference to us until Camoranesi is injured.

For Italy it works, for Europe you need much more creativity.
we will be able to hopefully count on both by the time we are in the CL.

Next season we will have Giovinco, VDV/Diego i hope, Camo and maby nedved... plus Salihamidzic and Marchionni in the squad too. Those are good creative players

and for defensive mids .. zanetti, Sissoko and Nocerino is very good too.

Vieira severly under performed here so while Sissoko is not anywhere near as big a name as Patrick I think he can do much better for us.

I'm not making anyone a scapegoat. I probably love Nocerino more than anyone on here. And because I like him i'm criticizing him for these things.

Probably you should watch more milan matches, Gattuso is capable of passing and crossing. Running wild on the field probably steals the attension out of everyone but if you pay attension closely you'll notice that he's a good passer and not bad at all when it comes to crossing.
I come from a family of Milanista, so trust me, I see more than I should lol. I was exaggerating of course, but I was trying to illustrate how 1 dimensional players can excel when in a proper lineup, something we dont have.

The irony of this debate is that 1 of Sissoko's main criticism's has always been his passing. If Ranieri was looking for an upgrade on Nocerino, he didn't do a very good job.

i don't think ranieri is looking to upgrade per say rather make sure we can always have such a good DM in our team. I mean Zanetti and Nocerino are clutch players for us ... but if one of them shattered their knee for example like Andrade... we would be fucked .. now we have 3 good DMs ...

a creative mid is coming in the summer to help us in the CL

May be we sign "Sisko" to "Tinker" him to be a CB...

coz I can't see him replacing C. Zanetti in midfield...n Im not really sure how Sisko can play side by side with CZ either....

Looks like we just bought ourselves an athlete. Such a waste of money, I hope he prooves me wrong but from what ive seen in his performances in the premiership.. is nothing but a guy who runs like a headless chicken..

Then his best position wouldn't be in the midfield or a CB, but he will definitely shine as a KFC.

Just to indicate the attitude of the player the management is dying to buy:

"It was never in my thoughts to leave Liverpool" - Momo Sissoko, commenting on his lucrative four-year contract extension, June 28, 2007.

"I am still a Liverpool player, but I must reaffirm that my heart is with Juve. I had a move to Turin a year ago and then everything failed" - Momo Sissoko, commenting on an imminent move to Juventus, January 24, 2008.
