Sissoko: My heart is with Juve
Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko is hoping to have his move to Juventus done and dusted in the next few days.
The 23-year-old, who also attracted interest from his former club Valencia, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, says his heart is all set on a move to Turin.
"It [a deal] is just a few days away," Sissoko told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "Three or four days and everything will be decided because we only have a short time.
"I know that everything is moving and I am just waiting on the news."
He added: "I confess that wearing Juve's jersey would be the best. When I was a child, I was a Zidane fan."
Sissoko - currently on African Nations Cup duty with Mali - is also looking forward to being reunited with Claudio Ranieri, who was also his coach at Los Che.
"Ranieri? I've known him at Valencia and I felt really good with him," he said.
"I am still a Liverpool player, but I must reaffirm that my heart is with Juve. I had a move to Turin a year ago and then everything failed."
Sissoko also had good words to say about Reds manager Rafael Benitez.
"I will always be thankful to Benitez for what he has given me, but in football things move on," he added.
"I'm young and I want to play and at Liverpool in this moment I do not play."
