I saw Sisoko's first season at Liverpool , and to be honest i did not know anything about him until than. I was very impressed with a pace and of his games, and yes very similar to Nocerino, but with much better passing skills and better crossing.
I think Rafa who is great coach maybe ruined him a bit.
Sissoko's first season at Liverpool was impressive, but I can't believe I just heard you (or anyone) compliment his passing and crossing ability. Sissoko is hands down the WORST passer I've ever seen playing in midfield. I would argue that when it comes to winning balls Sissoko is just as good as Nocerino (both have much room to grow still) and is even faster than Nocerino. But the problem with Momo is that once he wins that ball, there's a 80% chance he'll turn it right over. He does not know how to use his teammates and I even question his ability to make precise passes going forward.

I'm a fan of Sissoko's pace, worth ethic and fearless tackling, but we already have Zanetti and Nocerino in that role. He'd be a redundant and expensive signing. As someone said, that money is better spent looking for a long-term replacement for Pavel or improving the back four.

I really dont know what to make of this. By all means Sissoko is a decent player, but like everyone else that has posted in this thread, THAT POSITION IS COVERED FFS!!!
If we're going to drop that kind of money on someone highly unproven just to be a squad player, we might as well give up everything and try to be a mid-table team. This is Juve, we dont sign squad players, regardless of financial circumstances. Solo la Juve e Magica? If this transfer goes through, not anymore.

I think a lot of us can't hide their disappointment with the new management any longer.

We all stood by while Juventus got battered by unjustified allegation, when they refused to appeal and take down the system, when they had their fire sale, when they signed Boumsong, with the DD/Ranieri "switch", the mediocre summer mercato, their empty promises, and now when they're beating the odds, what do we get? Mediocre and redundant players.

Sissoko: Juve Transfer Close To Completion

Juventus are close to completing the signing of Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko, the player himself has admitted.

It has been no secret that the main objective of the Bianconeri’s January transfer campaign has been to find a new centre-midfielder.

This led to links with a host of top names, including Rafael Van der Vaart, Diego and Javier Mascherano.

However it now seems virtually certain that it will be Mascherano’s Liverpool team-mate Momo Sissoko who will be moving to the Stadio Olimpico in Turin.

“The negotiations with Juve are close to conclusion,” Sissoko told RMC.

“I am waiting for news in the coming days and while nothing has been signed yet, I can confirm that there are advanced negotiations between the Bianconeri and my agents.

“Certainly I would be excited to go to Turin. It is a prestigious club, it would be a new challenge and I could demonstrate my quality.”

The cost of the transfer is believed to be around €15m, which will leave Juve €5m remaining of their €20m January transfer budget.

I really feel angry at this transfer, last season maybe but not now, not after the Liverpool is a bigger club thing.

My friends a Liverpool supporter and he cant wait to get rid of him.

Our board are humilating us after promising Champions we're settling for mediocre players!

Ohh ffs now that is a waste of money. Sure Sissoko got his qualities but still we don't need any DM or even CM. I can't believe we waste 15 m € on a player we don't need. With that money we could probably land Zapata, who would be much more needed right now. Even freaking Ivanovic would be allowed to come to us with that money most probably. I'm about to use a Sissoko avatar to jinx it;).

I don't think we will buy him. Our managers are noobs but they are not stupid.

I will likely be a loan deal.
