RAI reprting that Sissoko is expected to sign tomorrow on a loan basis till the end of the season. The Malian is now engaged in the African Nations Cup from Jan 20th till early February at the earliest, dependent on Mali results.

I've seen a lot of Liverpool matches that Sissoko has played in over the last 2 years. I would agree with the broad consensus viz:

1. He is a top class midfield enforcer

2. His passing ability is at best average.

Juventus should only sign him for a maximum fee of €10m in the summer. The bulk of the spend should be on Zapata, Van De Vaart and Huntelaar
WHAT!!???

So we are getting him on loan fos six months and also he is out ONE MONTH!!!???

:disagree:

I'd rather we loaned him first and found out he whether he is good enough rather than spend upwards of €10m on him only to find out he is a plank.
This is sensible by the board. Whether I agree with any move in the first place is another matter.
I guess we do need another central midfielder for the time being as it seems Almiron may be on his way out, then in the summer when Marchisio returns and hopefully van der Vaart signs we can assess how well Sissoko did and see if he is worth purchasing. If he has a storming 4 months then that will be great for us, and we will have first option on him, if not then we don't have to buy him, it is only his wages for that period.

the loan deal is way better than making it permanently..with masherano deal not tied up it allows juve to consider both players come summer. But i was thinking if we were to buy then obviously we gonna lose someone in the midfield ...i think Noce days are numbered.

I just ask myself WHY Sissoko, if we can get Masherano.. He much more intelligent. Yes Sissoko is more physical, but have juve managers asked themselves why is 4th or 5th in pecking order for Liverpool, then Mascherano is automatic choise…

Why did Deschamps choose Boumsong over Givet? It's a matter of manager preference, and it's a risk you take when you hire a manager.

I just can't believe that Juventus is going to actually act on this request and sign him when Nocerino plays the exact same type of game: below average technical ability and insane physical ability.

OK he will be in a loan. Do we have any option to buy him after 6 months or he will be a "pass and go" player with everything conclude this.

I think if they will take him on loan till the end of season maybe they will realise he does not suite Juve and he will leave for ever. After all, only damage would be us not signing Mascherano, but with Nocerino maybe we don't need him so much. VDV would be enough.
