Xabi and Momo to follow

Xabi Alonso and Momo Sissoko are set to sign new contracts with the Reds.

Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher signed new deals on Tuesday, Pepe Reina signed a new deal today and Xabi Alonso and Momo Sissoko are expected to be next.

Barcelona were interested in Alonso while Juventus have sounded out Sissoko about a move. However, both clubs will be disappointed as Liverpool are set to sign both up on long term contracts this week.

:lol2:

So Liverpool are going to keep all of Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Mascherano, Sissoko, and Lucas Leiva? How the hell will they keep all those players happy? Stop hoarding midfielders you fucking Scouser faggots.

My buddy is a Red and he told me this a few days ago - says they will keep Sissoko for sure though he's an idiot so I didn't give it any credence (esp since he's convinced that Henry-Eto'o will be Liverpool's forward line next year..)

Mavuba seems to be making positive noises about Juve though plus didn't Ranieri say Sissoko wasn't a complete ball-winner (?) so doesn't really sound like he was blown away by the prospect anyway..

I didn't exactly rate Sissoko too highly anyway, but if we can't pry away the fifth rated midfielder from a team with a glut of them like Liverpool, I worry about the quality we'll end up with.

You'll have to ask Ranieri and Secco.

My guess is they are either happy with Zanetti with Tacchinardi/Blasi as backups, or they are opting for a cheaper DM solution (Mavuba)... coupled with the desire to spend the majority of money on one major midfield signing like Diego or Lampard. Not to mention, Ranieri likes youth, so odds are Marchisio, Nocerino, Paro and Giovinco are a significant part of the midfield equation.

Of course, this is all conjecture.

they have 5 good central mids yet the shittiest fucking wingers on earth. they are such a stupid team

I mean if they had players who were more decisive then pennant and Zenden against milan they would have won. Can u imagine if they had a player like Joaquin or Navas on the right instead of Pennant ? or a player like Nedved or Vicente on the Left?

they should lose some mids and shitty players (which they have in cast amounts and buy some top players for other positions)

Damn idiots

Here u are guys :

..It also seems difficult that Sissoko will leave to join Juventus. “Buying players from Premiership teams is always difficult because the English league is, right now, stronger than Serie A from a financial perspective. For example, Sissoko would end up costing very much, and it’s up to Juve to decide how much they are willing to spend. Also, with our new owners, the goal of this club is to become stronger and not sell players.”

they got mascherano, allonso, gerrard and the young brazilian guy
they dont need other CM
with the money they got benitez ll try to buy a good winger and play gerrard in CM
thats the wisest choice for them
they have much much $$$$$$, so keeping 1-2 good players always on the bench doesn't cost they ~
