we seem to sacrifice a lot; and all for BOBO VIERI... :dontcare:

I don't think we should blame Glenn. I mean, the idea's there, and it probably would be official anyway, but as we can see there has been some delays etc.. maybe things just aren't going the way they were supposed to be, for now :)

"Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi has announced that negotiations for Christian Vieri are in progress."

can't believe it, it's so unMoggi style to announce thing like this.
he's not telling the truth, simple really... remember these: "Zidane is not for sale" and "It will be either DD or Prandelli". Now I'm sure that Vieri won't come, thank God!!

I still hope we can get Vieri! I really like him, and it would be great to have him! IMO there is nobody who could replace Trez better, than Vieri!

Emerson rejects new Real bid Saturday 5 June, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Emerson has again confirmed he will only join Juventus, so it’s reported Real Madrid have turned their attention towards Christian Vieri.

“We have an agreement with Juve,” agent Gilmar Veloz told Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’, “and it will be respected. Roma told us that in July we could choose his next club and we have chosen Juventus.”

His contract expires in 2005, but the Giallorossi need to sell the Brazilian in order to raise ready cash. The Capital club has a long-standing rivalry with Juve and have accepted a basic £12m offer from Real Madrid instead.

“We had a brief meeting with Real President Florentino Perez on May 21,” revealed Veloz, “and he understood the situation. Any player would be happy to join Real Madrid, but we cannot break our word to Juventus.”

Roma could effectively dig their heels in over the issue and refuse to release the Brazilian midfielder until his contract expires in 2005, even if that means losing out on money and his performance.

“Roma can offer him to Inter, Real or whoever, it really doesn’t matter,” concluded his agent. “If Emerson has to sit on the bench for a year, then we will wait it out, but he will play for Juventus eventually.”

Met with such a stern response from their number one midfield target, Real Madrid are now reportedly turning their attention towards Christian Vieri.

The Inter striker is at the centre of talks for a move to Juventus, as confirmed by Director General Luciano Moggi, but there are problems between the two clubs.

Real could now intercept with an offer of £10.6m plus a three-year contract worth £5m a season.

Vieri and Ronaldo had always publicly regretted the fact they hardly ever shared the field during their time at Inter due to a series of injuries for both players, but they could reunite at the Bernabeu.

The Italian international is not new to La Liga, as he was top scorer during his one campaign with Atletico Madrid.

Great news, we WILL get Emerson no matter what... and about vieri, maybe he will go to r.madrid.. but thats fine with me..

Emerson :thumb: I love how he's so keen on a move to Juve, even though Real are offering more money and a better salary.
