NEWS FLASH!!!

Moggi said that the reason of the delay in the transfer of Christian Vieri to Juventus is of ECONOMIC reasons only. Moggi admitted that tonight he will eat fish soup at FORTE DEI MARMI but will not say who will join him.

Massimo Moratti lives near Forte Dei Marmi. ;)

Oh, that's just lovely.

So, it looks like Juve is going to get a 30 year old, whining, injury-prone, over paid malcontent after all.

Who would of guessed? Vieri having disputes with his salary? CHRISTIAN VIERI?! What a surprise.

If Vieri wants to win something late in his career, he will have to take a pay cut to join Juve. Thats all there is to it.

Ok forget about the tennis its soccer here not tennis
About Vieri I hope the deal will fail cause I really think we need someone else much younger and better Vieri has 2 years and I consider him as a very good striker but not great he has past his prime!
Vieri would be something like Trez a little bit better but gets a lot more money in his contract. why don`t we go for someone who can be much better I`m sure Moggi can find better strikers who are also younger don`t you think?

Christian Vieri says he hasn’t asked to quit Inter but he’s left the door open for a summer exit.

Juventus are in talks with the Nerazzurri regarding the striker but he claims to know nothing about the negotiations.

"I’ve not requested to leave Inter and I still have two years left on my contract. But if Inter want to sell me then that is a different matter," he said on Friday.

"I haven’t spoken with the club since the end of the season and I’ve not heard from Massimo Moratti for about a month.

"When I left they didn’t seem set to let me go but if they’ve change their minds then they will have to inform me."

Has Vieri been tempted to call the club for some answers? "I have no need to contact them," he added.

"I haven’t asked to be sold and if Inter want to keep me then I won’t be moving, not to join Juventus or any other club."

Some reports suggested that Inter could have announced his sale to the Bianconeri as quickly as last night.

However, the only news that they broke on Thursday evening was that of the loan signing of Juan Sebastian Veron.

"I’m very happy that he has arrived because he’s a great champion," continued the former Atletico Madrid ace.

When asked whether he knew about the capture before it was announced, the Italian international replied: "No, but that is not unusual. It’s not my job to strengthen the team."

Juve’s Vieri bid stalls

Christian Vieri’s transfer from Inter to Juventus may take longer
than expected after a number of problems developed.

The Italian media were convinced that a deal was done but Vieri has allegedly rejected Juve’s initial offer.

The Turin giants have offered the striker a four-year contract worth £2.8m a season. However, he currently nets £5m at Inter and he still has two years left in Milan.

Juventus don’t really want to increase their bid but they may be forced to if they want to net the 31-year-old.

However, it is also understood that the two clubs have yet to finalise definite terms on a transfer.

Inter have agreed to take Marco Di Vaio from Turin as part of the deal and the player has given his consent to the move.

But the Nerazzurri also want another player, reported to be Lilian Thuram or Manuele Blasi.

Yet Juve seem ready to offer only Enzo Maresca, who wouldn’t be needed by Inter after the capture of Juan Veron, and Uruguayan international ‘keeper Fabian Carini.

Meanwhile, stories on Friday also claim that the two clubs are working on another swap deal.

Inter defender Marco Materazzi could be heading to the Delle Alpi in a move that sees Mark Iuliano go in the other direction
