I agree that neither Del Piero nor Totti would likely return, it's just a pipe dream really But in all honesty, either of those is better than Gilardino. For Osvaldo, it depends on how he does this season definitely, if he has his head on right then sure but not if he has the attitude that he did at Roma.

It's not like Prandelli has a lot of strikers to pick from. Even if he has crappy attitude and bangs goals this season I think he'll take him to the WC, as he's the only pure striker.

Again I agree that's what will likely happen, just saying what I would personally want if it were at all possible for the vets to return. Then again, Prandelli had no problem dropping him for the Confed Cup, though the WC is a much more important competition so I doubt he would take a risk like that there.
