Wasn't me who said it (I think it would be extremely poor to not get out of the group), but why is what he said an excuse? Just pessimism.

Italy are a fantastic tournament team for sure. However I do think they lack the real quality to win this World Cup.

And to be honest I'm not expecting a good result for Italy there.
Solid defensively and now with a powerful attack (although they miss Cabanes as Red already pointed at), I expect them to be a very hard opponent.
