Who thinks Italy will win? They are shit right now, they will probably make it to the 1/4s or even the semis depending upon who they face but the chances of them winning it again are small indeed.
I, as a supporter of the Azzurri for over 30 some odd years, do not, in any way, think that Italy have a chance. And this isn't just me pruposely trying to talk the team's chances down to where if they do advance far, I will be pleasantly surprised.

No, I honestly think this team will be an embarassment to all the prior teams who have worn that shirt before.

Its an old team, with no pace, and very little on the ball skill. I can't think of one Italian player on that current roster who can take the ball, and create a moment of magic. I really don't.

Well, that's what they get for the abhorrent lack of player development throughout Serie A.

fuck em, at this point. I've been screaming for this ever since 2006, but the impatience of the FIGC led to more of the same old, same old, with this team. Figuratively, and Literally.

when i said success, i didnt say win the thing, but i expect another italy-esque performance, when it comes to the big games they perform, hopefully they can keep it up

and of course England are contenders, lets see if they can rid themselves of their poor performances in big international cup competitions.

Italy really don't stand a chance guys- honestly I'm a huge fan, but it's not going to happen. In 2006 we had a hungry gattuso that one us the ball and a quality pirlo that created magic. We had totti and del piero that always made you feel confident as wel as a in form cannavaro!!!! We miss all of these things this wc-

The only thing i haven't got over from 2006 was that CL final. But i like seeing Italy flop because of there numerous amount of fanboys all over the world, my home country Libya especially, the whole country supports Italy :yuck:

Lippi unfazed by Al-Qaeda threats Saturday 10 April, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marcello Lippi insists he is not concerned after alleged Al-Qaeda threats towards the Azzurri at the World Cup.

A message appeared on a website linked to the terrorist organisation threatening attacks on the USA, England, France, Germany and Italy teams in South Africa this summer.

“We are accustomed to living under very strict security conditions,” assured Coach Lippi to La Repubblica newspaper.

“In every major tournament we find this level of organisation. I don’t think it will be a problem for the hosts.”

Fears are heightened after Togo’s team bus was riddled with bullets in a terror attack during the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

Despite the death of three of their party, Togo were banned from the next two tournaments after pulling out of the competition.

“In the Confederations Cup last summer there were no problems at all and every detail was attended to.

“The delegations are followed in their every movement by at least two or three vehicles in a police escort.

“As for the fans or those who travel autonomously, I really wouldn’t know what to say.”
