Buffon - hero, Italy's best player. 9
Zambrotta - good going forward, horrible error. 6
Panucci - got the goal, did a decent job defensively. 7
Chiellini - strong at the back, crucial assist. 7
Grosso - fantastic. Made a few crucial defensive plays and looked threatening when he got forward. 8
De Rossi - good game. I can't understand why he was left out against Holland. 7
Pirlo - I thought he was poor tbh. His final ball was lacking, as were his set pieces. 5
Perrotta - not enough from him. Rightly replaced. 5
Camoranesi - played well, worked hard, good outing. 7
Del Piero - the game didn't suit him as Italy focussed on crosses but he was ok. 6
Toni - huge presence but the ball didn't fall for him today. 6

Cassano - didn't bring much. 5
Quagliarella - nr
Ambrosini - nr

I'm not using half marks btw. English style ratings.

Cassano brought alot he was all over it, he was getting teamed up everytime gave lovely passes.

I'm telling you guys Donadoni has to play a 4-4-2. It's the only way he's going to get more that one scoring threat. And play Grosso as a left mid.

I agree with everything except for Camo and Cassano, I thought Cassano did a better job and Camo ... was mediocre. But each to his/her own :)

Actually (and not because I like Inzaghi), but I think he's sorely missed. What the fek was the whole point of bringing fucking Borriello????? EVERY team needs a goal poacher in a team like this. Goddammit.
