Yes Andy Gray is scottish.I have to bear with him all year long because he's some sort of EPL Guru.Ive seen him do commentary in matches that involve Italy or Italian teams..and every time an Italian side scores,he sounds like he's choking or something.I still remember the Liverpool-Milan final,when Milan went up 3-0 at half time.He sounded as if he had lost his voice or something.And when Liverpool got those 3 goals,he sounded as if he had an orgasm.The same goes for the Juventus-Liverpool match.He couldnt stop yapping about how Liverpool had owned Juventus in the first leg and how Luis Garcia had scored the greatest goal known to mankind.

Some of these British commentators are good though,and i do enjoy listening to them.Martin Tyler is good.He can be a biased prick at times,but generally he's pretty good,which is ironic since he does a lot of stuff with Andy Gray alongside him.

John Moston is pretty good too.My favourites however,have to be Jonh Helm and Alan Parry.Both excellent unbiased commentators IMO.

There's also this guy who covers the Serie A in english.He has a very heavy,cracky-ish voice.Im sure he's been around a very long time, as ive seen footage of matches from the 80's where he was commentating.I dont know his name,but he's incredible.

Are groups being decided on head to head or goal difference in this tourney? Coz if its by GD , a France win tomorrow all but ends it imo even if Italy beat Romania

Just read an interesting article on uefa.com on how the game on Sunday between Czech Rep and Turkey can go straight to penalties after 90 mins if they end the match 0-0 according to some article rule since they'll have the same GD, GF and GA in that scenario

If two or more teams finish equal on points after all the group matches have been played, the following criteria will be applied to determine the ranking :

(a) Greater number of points obtained in the matches between the teams in question.
(b) Goal difference resulting from the matches between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal).
(c) Greater number of goals scored in the matches between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal).
(d) Goal difference in all the group matches.
(e) Greater number of goals scored in all the group matches.
(f) Coefficient of points from the last two qualifying competitions for the final rounds of the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008 (points gained and divided by the number of matches played).
(g) Fair Play conduct of the teams (final tournament).
(h) A drawing of lots by the Organising Committee.

There is no need to apply criteria (g) & (h) at this year's championship because the only teams with equal coefficient under criteria (f) are teams of Romania & Germany (ranked 5.), Greece & Poland (ranked 10.) and then Russia & Turkey (ranked 13.) - teams that were drawn into different groups anyway.

Donadoni Goes For Roma Over Milan

According to sources in Italy, Azzurri Coach Roberto Donadoni is set to drop both Massimo Ambrosini and Gennaro Gattuso in favour of Roma-duo Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta.

Donadoni is expected to make wholesale changes ahead of Friday's must-win game against Romania, and it seems that the team is set for a cull of it's Milan links.

Against Holland an all-Rossonero midfield of Andrea Pirlo, Ambrosini and Gattuso were employed, but they failed to cope with the brighter and more energetic Dutch, led by the impressive Rafael Van der Vaart and Wesley Sneijder.

Both Ambrosini and Gattuso have been written off as not good enough by sections of the press, and indeed ex-Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi was particularly critical of the latter, saying that he wasn't up to the standard of La Nazionale.

Sources in Italy suggest that Donadoni will drop both of these players in favour of Roma stars De Rossi and Perrotta. The former was one of the players of the season in Serie A last campaign, while Perrotta is being sponsored by some sections of the media due to his workrate and box-to-box ability that was sorely missing against the Dutch.
